That’s how God works sometimes. He can give everyone the same opportunity, but still guide only one person to the right path. Not because you’re better than the others, but because He has chosen to guide you differently. Sometimes, what looks like luck is simply God guidance. 🙏🏽
For every pain you endure,
For every fear that grips your heart,
For every worry that keeps you awake at night,
For every loss that you grieve over,
For anything & everything that you can’t handle, leave it to the Lord of the Worlds. He’s the best disposer of our affairs.
Dear young fellow,
We often look at successful people and think they were lucky or naturally gifted. But behind almost every success are two simple things: good decisions and discipline.
Think about someone who decides to start a business. They register the business, create a logo, and tell everyone about it. That’s a good decision.
A few months later, business is slow. Hardly anyone is buying. This is where discipline matters. It’s what keeps them showing up every day, learning, improving, and refusing to quit.
Or imagine you decide to pursue a master’s degree or a professional certification. Getting admitted feels exciting. But after a long day at work, when all you want to do is rest, the decision alone won’t earn you the certificate. Discipline is opening your books, attending classes, and studying even when you don’t feel like it.
The same thing happens when you decide to get fit. Joining the gym is easy. Waking up early to work out when you’re tired is the hard part. That’s discipline.
It’s no different with money. You decide to save part of your salary every month. Then payday comes, and you’re tempted to spend it all. Discipline is choosing what you want most over what you want now.
Life works the same way in our faith. We decide to pray more, read the Qur’an or Bible regularly, and become better people. But those decisions only change our lives when we stay consistent, even on the days we don’t feel motivated.
The truth is simple.
A decision tells you where you want to go. Discipline is what gets you there.
Good decisions without discipline become wishes. Discipline without good decisions can take you in the wrong direction.
The people we admire aren’t successful because they made one great decision. They’re successful because they kept showing up and staying true to the decisions they made.
So ask yourself:
Am I making the right decisions?
Am I disciplined enough to stay committed to them?
Because, in the end, the life you live is shaped not just by the decisions you make, but by the discipline to keep making them count every single day.
The job that will pay big amounts like N5m, N10m monthly is extremely difficult. You get it through entry level (which is extremely rare) or you grow from small to that number over time.
It is same thing with business. Growing a business that gives you N5m or N10m monthly is very difficult. You either secured a huge capital to achieve so (which is rare) or you grow that business from small to big thereby achieving that number.
Whatever struggle you choose, being successful at it is not easy. And none amongst the two is easy.
Do not allow the proliferation of one over the other misled you.
Not so many jobs can pay you N1m in a month.
Not so many business can make N1m profit in a month.
Never lie to yourself, reflect about the kind of person you're, what you want to do, what you believe you can and achieve success, and then delve into it.
Its also normal to be flexible and change overtime.
Dear Young Fellow,
One thing we often forget is that we are not meant to be the same. Each of us was created differently, with our own mix of strengths, talents, and abilities. That difference is not a flaw. It is actually the point.
Many young people spend years comparing themselves to others, wondering why they are not as fast, as loud, or as successful. But comparison has a way of making us ignore what we already have. Your journey is yours for a reason. Your gifts may show up differently, and that is completely okay.
You might not have everything figured out yet. Your strength might still be unclear, or your talent might not be fully developed. That does not mean it is not there. It simply means it needs time, attention, and intention to grow.
Nothing meaningful grows by chance. When you start paying attention to what comes naturally to you, what excites you, and what people often appreciate about you, you begin to discover your strength. And when you deliberately work on it, even in small ways, it becomes something powerful.
You do not need to be good at everything. No one is. Focus on what you can do well and keep improving it. Over time, that one thing can open doors you never imagined.
Your uniqueness is not something to hide or downplay. It is your advantage. Embrace it, work on it, and use it boldly. The world needs what only you can offer.
See you at the top!
Mallam, kana tan talaka daga arewa, ka tashi ka nemi na kanka. Ka nemi kudi, ka nemi arziki, ka roki Allah ya baka. Ba abin kunya a chiki.
Kuma idan ka sami aiki mai dama dama, ka rike shi. Kar kache zaka bari ka tafi neman aiki gwamnati.
Hold your job or business like your life depends on it. There’s nothing more devastating than having to be begging people to give you money.
Allah ya bamu sa’a. Amin.
I went to this branch where I worked at for many years. I didn’t see a single familiar face. It was only a security guard that recognized me.
That reminded me that the work place is a barrack- soldier comes, soldier goes.
Don’t be too attached to it. Do your thing and go home.
“..not all success is due to hard work, and not all poverty is due to laziness. Keep this in mind when judging people, including yourself.” - Morgan Housel
Don’t be shy of your small business or where you work, if it is legitimate.
Do your thing to get what will protect your dignity and that of your loved ones.
There’s no shame bigger than lack!
As young people, we must know ourselves and our values, work hard, live below our means, save as much as we can and avoid the craze of seeking validation.
Life can be unfair. Please, prepare for it.
Helpless, hopeless and powerless. We’ve all felt this many times. But giving up is never an option. Hope is what keeps us alive. No matter what’s going on out there, cling on to hope, knowing that the Almighty is with us. He knows what’s going on even when we don’t.
