Last week, I gave my class an assignment on automation. Simple brief, one goal: build something that works.
Last night, we sat down together and went through the corrections.
What came out of it was interesting.
Some students had solved it with Method A, a single, streamlined workflow. Clean, minimal, no room for confusion.
Others, me inclusive went with Method B, three separate workflows stitched together to get the same result.
Different paths. Same destination.
And that's the real lesson from our correction session.. automation isn't about how many steps you use, or how "elegant" your setup looks. It's about whether the thing actually runs reliably, repeatedly, without you babysitting it.
One workflow isn't automatically better than three. Three workflows aren't automatically more "thorough" than one.
What matters is:
→ Does it work every time, not just once?
→ Can someone else understand and maintain it?
→ Does it save more time than it costs to build?
If the answer is yes, you did automation right, no matter which method got you there.
The goal was never "use the fanciest method."
The goal was.. make it work...✌🏾
have you ever experienced such ?
Funny enough... that tweet wasn't a joke.
It actually happened.
I asked God if I should quit my job and focus on building my business.
The very next day, I was the only person laid off from my department.
So yes, I'm currently jobless.
But here's the interesting part...
I'm not starting from zero... but from experience
I'm Aje, a CRM & RevOps Specialist.
I build systems that help businesses generate leads, automate follow-ups, close more deals, and retain customers.
I work across platforms like GoHighLevel, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Salesforce, Pipedrive, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, and more.
I also design AI-powered workflows using Zapier, Make, n8n, OpenAI, Twilio, WhatsApp, email, SMS, and voice AI to eliminate repetitive work and improve operations.
If your sales process is messy, your CRM is underused, or your team is drowning in manual tasks, that's exactly the kind of problem I solve.
Maybe getting laid off wasn't the end.
Maybe it was the push I needed.
If you know someone hiring for CRM, RevOps, Automation, or AI implementation roles, I'd genuinely appreciate an introduction.
Let's build something great.
my portfolio in the comment...
Yesterday, I decided to spend the day learning how to design a funnel in GHL. This was after @Aje_Dynamicz taught us how to design it in our last class.
This is my first time doing this, and I am glad I did. GHL has been a tool I have been wanting to learn, but I love learning when it's required so that I can apply it to what I am doing immediately, as this will help me learn faster.
I will be documenting my journey learning and practicing GHL henceforth.

The first step is learning from people who have actually done what you're trying to do.
Freelancing has gone beyond consuming free YouTube videos and hoping for results. At some point, you need structured guidance. Nobody is coming to babysit your journey.
People often say mentorship is expensive, but staying stuck is usually far more expensive.
For context, my mentorship is ₦000,000, and yes, people invest in it because they understand they're paying for years of experience, proven systems, and shortcuts that can save them months or even years of trial and error.
Take Upwork as an example...
Four years ago, you got 50 free Connects when you created an account. One proposal could land you a $1,000+ job and set your freelancing career in motion.
Today, people spend over $300 on Connects alone and still struggle to win a single $30 contract because the competition has changed.
The market evolves. The people who evolve with it are the ones who keep winning.
Invest in knowledge from trusted sources. It's often the cheapest way to avoid expensive mistakes...
I hope this help ✌🏾
The clients who negotiate the hardest before paying are rarely the clients who value your work the most after paying.
I've started paying more attention to how someone buys than how much they're willing to spend...
It's saved me from more headaches than any contract ever has.
This project taught me something bigger than design or tools.
Good websites aren't about looking good.
They're about thinking clearly on someone else's behalf, then building that thinking into a page.
I've been exploring how businesses can actually show up online in a way that feels trustworthy, not just "pretty."
That curiosity led me to learning GoHighLevel from my boss @Aje_Dynamicz .
Here's a full website I built for Greenlight Coaching, a relationship coaching brand.
Every section answers a question in someone's head:
Can I trust this person?
What exactly do they help with?
What happens if I reach out?
By the time you hit the contact section, you already know.
Freelancer red flags that should have you running. But you never run. 😂
"We don't have a budget but the exposure is great"
Sir I cannot eat exposure.
"It's a quick and simple task"
It is never quick. It is never simple.
"The last freelancer did it cheaper"
Then where is that freelancer now? Exactly...
"We'll pay you after launch"
The launch that has been "almost ready" since January.
"Can we jump on a quick call?"
47 minutes later you are still on the call.
Nothing has been decided.
There is a follow up call scheduled.
"We just need small changes"
14 revision rounds later. ..you still dey there
"We love your work! Can you do this one for free? It will open big doors for you"
Every big door this line has ever opened leads to another unpaid job.
You see all the signs.
You take the job anyway.
Every time.
Freelancing is a calling. A confusing, underpaid, deeply fulfilling calling. 😅
Which one has happened to you?
Be honest 👇
If they have a high score, a rep gets notified instantly and the lead gets an appointment email within minutes. If it's a mid score, they enter an automatic 7-day nurture sequence. If it's a low score they receive a helpful email, then added to a 90-day follow up.
BrightPath Solar had a lead problem, not that they have few leads but unqualified leads just kept reaching the sales team, makes them spend more time calling people who don't intend to buy from them.
Here's what I built to fix that, let me know your thoughts🙏
@omoalhajaabiola
I built a 6-question quiz inside GoHighLevel to qualify every lead based on their home ownership, electricity bill. roof type, timeline to decide and others. The moment a lead submits GHL scores their answers and decides exactly what happens to them next based on the automation.
Any time I feel lazy, unmotivated, or stressed about building career skills, I remind myself of certain low-paying, high-stress jobs that no child ever dreams of becoming (I won’t call names).
Then it clicks.
Two truths always stand out:
• You either stress in a career path you deliberately chose, with better pay and options… or stress in one that life and circumstances will choose for you.
• You either stress now or stress later — but you will stress. and not choosing is still a choice.
stress is inevitable.
Pick your poison. Pick your timing.
For a while now, I’ve been getting DMs from people asking how to learn GoHighLevel.
So, I put together the exact playlist I personally used — the same one that helped me move from beginner to where I am today.
I’m not yet an “expert” (still learning daily) but like the saying goes: “When you’re green, you grow. When you’re ripe, you rot.”
This playlist covers beginner to advanced, everything you need to get started with GoHighLevel.
