You lived like a legend and you died like a legend — redefining what it truly means to be one.
Because of you, it is a matter of honor to be a Baloch, and a matter of pride to carry the name Bugti.
Rest in power, Dada Saeen! 🙏🙏🙏
The embodiment of courage, wisdom & honor and personification of Baloch code of life. Today marks 18th martyrdom anniversary of father of the Baloch nation #ShaheedNawabAkbarBugti
Congratulations to Team India on winning the World Cup! 🏆 The dedication, skill, and sportsmanship displayed were truly inspiring. You played beautifully
TL;DR treat driving on par with not paying for the service you received.
Three levels of integrity & respect:
1. Direct: towards individuals/places/establishments on which our behavior has direct, tangible consequences. Example of harmful action would be leaving the restaurant without paying. You might sometimes get away with it, but you know that the staff will be held responsible & business will suffer.
2. Indirect, local: towards the community around you. Our decisions might have a smaller effect when done at an individual level, but amplify quickly if everyone starts doing it. Consequences aren't (usually) immediate, might take anywhere between days and years to manifest. Examples include not paying public transportation: you might get away with it (depending on where you live), but when amplified in numbers, the public infrastructure incl. the transportation itself will degrade due to lower funding.
3. Indirect, global & long-term: towards your country/planet. You might never see the consequences in your lifetime. This has the least incentive for people to do good. It's hard to explain to oneself a sacrifice such as *always* taking the car vs public transportation. We know it's bad for the environment, yet continually as a society decide to put our immediate needs before the future consequences. On the extreme, one could argue that driving a (combustion) car is on par with intentionally not paying for the service you've been given, at least in the moral sense. The outcome is delayed to practical infinity (after your death), so we humans don't care.
Now, there's hope. I think most societies trust that when you've ordered your food you'll pay for it and so we usually don't have to worry till after the meal.
Switzerland, among others, has developed a culture where the citizens don't trash and they pay for public transport even when no one is watching. This is in contrast to e.g. Poles. If they (well, we) got a chance to skip paying the ticket (e.g. local bus where rarely anybody checks you), we would. The attitude is roughly: I anyway pay too much to the govt, might as well get sth for free! This is a complex cultural issue and has a long history of Swiss govt having (more) integrity, but anyway shows that ray of hope. Maybe we can instill a culture where the society as a whole has the indirect & global integrity 'built-in'. It will be a gradual process, and we need the help of technology! but we can start now.
At this point we Baloch nation don't know which directions to turn our heads, which direction to turn on our focus.
To Iran who is bombing the innocents Baloch civilians on the other side of their borders or to Pakistan who is bombing the Baloch civilian on their other side of their borders
Akbar Bugti told I.A Rehman many years ago“Islamabad would never accept a truly democratic government in Balochistan and would go using us against one another”. Few lines from “A Lifetime of Dissent” by late I.Rehman forced me to say that Islamabad is endorsing Akbar Bugti again.
Balaach Gorgezh said the following lines for the wives and kids of his brothers killed by the enemies. Today the tyrant state has made each and every home in Balochistan suffer reflect the same suffering.

Problem with Pakistan is not that “geniuses” like Moeed Pirzada only speak/promote truth when they are not favorites of the military establishment, the problem is they will stop speaking it when they do become the favourites. And the vicious cycle will continue…
What a mess of a country!

As long as the plains witness fire and flame, you live on
As long as the last star the heaven does claim, you live on
As long as a jasmine blossoms on the lap of the earth
As long as lightning strikes over mountain, you live on

When his enemies finally came for Balaach Gorgezh he was very old. As they approached him and demanded that he ‘pay back their debt’ (the men he killed to avenge his brothers’ murder and that he must prepare for revenge i.e. death) Balaach asked them to come closer claiming he couldn’t hear them very well because of being old.
As the men approached him he took out a razor and slew one of them and announced: Here is your debt, take it!
Balaach was eventually killed but even in his death he was victorious against the enemy.
#ShaheedNawabAkbarBugti would say he was inspired by the valour and bravery of Balaach Gorgezh but he took the legend of Balaach Gorgezh to next level as he stood against the tyranny, fought against injustice and laid down his life for what he stood for.
He not only defeated the enemy in his lifetime but even after death he became the symbol of courage, honor and justice while his enemies continue to face defeat and humiliation.
