Plus, you don't need a 300B+ parameter model to write an email or to fix a grammar in the paragraph. And tech companies kinda need to pause on the performance research a bit to gain something in efficiency. Obviously if you scale up a neural network, it is gonna be better.

In addition to making this as a law such that tech companies disclose the environmental impact of the data centers, we should really fund a research that does 2 things:

1. Make LLMs much more efficient
2. Make data centers that rely on something else for cooling.
