When we speak about children’s games and toys in the intangible cultural heritage of Syria, we focus on how old they are and their historiography. There are no conclusive studies which give us a definitive answer to the origins of games and toys in Syria.

Syrian cuisine is categorised as a hybrid cuisine that uses animal and vegetarian components. The most used vegetable in Syrian cuisine is the Aubergine (eggplant). Syrians consume it in large quantities and use it for a large variety of dishes.

Wood mosaic is among the traditional artisan industries in Syria. It's made by ornamenting large pieces of wood with smaller colored pieces. The small pieces are cut to a fine thinness, colored and then glued to the large piece. Artisans consider the techniques as trade secrets.
