2 different walks by the lads today & a visit to our new allotment #Utopia
One group headed over to New Brighton & took in the amazing waterfront while another walked local & took in our beautiful promenade
The last gang paid a visit to our new allotment in Dingle & got some hard work in getting it ready for bedding #NeverAlone ❤️💙
Granted. Sometimes life can be overwhelming and life can also be lonely. Even those of us surrounded by people can feel, at times, desperately alone
But @WalkFlorrie prove that you don’t need a huge organisation or a big bank balance to make a huge difference. Sometimes all it takes is a welcoming smile, a listening ear or an invitation to join a walk. These simple acts create friendships, reduce loneliness and give people a renewed sense of purpose and belonging. They often reach those who would never walk through the doors of traditional support services.
Small social groups also strengthen communities by bringing people together from different backgrounds. They create safe spaces where conversations happen naturally, barriers are broken down and people begin looking out for one another. This sense of connection doesn’t just improve individual wellbeing, it builds stronger, kinder and more resilient neighbourhoods.
Remember your are #NeverAlone don’t let your struggles define who you are.
Join @WalkFlorrie every Monday & Friday at 10.30 @the_florrie #NeverAlone ❤️💙
Four years ago, while on a walk, i had an idea that it would be good to try & get other men out talking to each other & the benefits it would bring both mentally & physically, the next day I went to see @timotierney in @TheFlorrie & asked if he’d help me & @WalkFlorrie was born.
Id like thank everyone who helped start the group, so far we have lads getting help thru counselling, lads into employment, have helped lads become better in themselves & more importantly we have started men talking about problems.
Also one of our biggest accomplishment that we pride ourselves on is the different backgrounds & age groups we’ve managed to bring together.
We’ve also we’ve been fortunate enough to have had our message spread by @LFC@Everton & @NIVEAMENUKalso with continued support of @TheAnfieldWrap & @TheRedmenTV to different satellite groups around the world
If anybody feels they have nobody to turn to, well you do. We’re here @WalkFlorrie come & join us, we leave @TheFlorrie every Monday & Friday morning at 10.30 & we’d love to meet you #NeverAlone ❤️💙
What a day with @WalkFlorrie
If ever I needed cheering up, the lads certainly didn’t let me down. My son James, would’ve been 16 today, forever think about him & what could’ve been. The friendship and support reminded me once again that nobody has to carry their burdens alone.
Some days you lead the walk, and some days the walk carries you. Today was one of those days. Thank you, lads #NeverAlone ❤️💙
Today, @WalkFlorrie visited @visitdelamere & it proved to be exactly what one of our lads needed following a recent family loss.
Sometimes, no words are needed. Just being surrounded by good people & nature can make all the difference
The walk gave us the chance to talk, reflect, share memories, and support one another in a way that only true friendship and community can
Days like today remind us why @WalkFlorrie exists. We walk together through the good times and the difficult times, ensuring that nobody has to face life’s challenges alone. Soppy know but true #NeverAlone ❤️💙
He most definitely has his hat on today & what a day to get out & enjoy not just the beautiful weather but the even better company.
The nice weather is a game changer
All it takes is a few breaths of fresh air and your mind will be clearer, sharper, calmer and ultimately, more relaxed #NeverAlone ❤️💙
“I’d been crying out to open up to someone but would never ask for help. I saw it as weakness. I now know that asking for help is strength.”
Lee Hughes
@WalkFlorrie we believe talking is never a weakness, to us it’s the first sign of real strength. Lee began his postcode walk just after midnight & is heading towards Walton on his way back through the city
You can still help Lee get to his total, if you can please donate anything small or large #NeverAlone ❤️💙

@WalkFlorrie isn’t just about miles.
It’s about men standing shoulder to shoulder & trying to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health
Walk. Talk. Support. Repeat.
No stigma. No judgement. #NeverAlone ❤️💙
WALKFLORRIE TO MAKE TRIP FROM DINGLE (Liverpool) TO DINGLE (County Kerry) ☘️
@WalkFlorrie have confirmed a community trip to ireland, travelling from (Liverpool) to Dingle (County Kerry) with a 2-night stay in Galway.
The Journey is more than a trip abroad. It is being made in memory of Walk Florrie’s fallen brothers, (Ian, John, Alan, Michael, Paul) whose lives and friendships have helped shape the groups values of togetherness, openness and mutual brotherhood.
During the trip, members will stay in Galway before travelling on to Dingle, where they will part in a wellbeing walk, reflection and meeting with a local community group. A key aim of the visit is to build lasting links between our 2 amazing communities.
Tony Caveney, founder of Walk Florrie, said; “This trip means a great deal to all of us at the Florrie. We’re carrying the memory of our fallen brothers with us every step of the way. Going from Dingle to Dingle was a pipe dream myself and Ian Jones would always talk about on the walks, sadly Ian lost his short battle with cancer in July 2025, so we thought it only fitting to honour his memory by fulling the journey on his anniversary, while also setting up links around the 2 dingle areas. The journey will hopefully symbolise connection, friendship and more importantly the power of community”
@WalkFlorrie hopes the trip will not only honour those friends we’ve lost but also create new friendships and conversations long after the group return #NeverAlone 💚💛
Today we took a trip to an exhibition at St George’s Hall looking back at Liverpool schoolboys football ⚽️
For some of the older lads, it wasn’t just a visit, it was a walk down memory lane. The stories started flowing immediately
Talking about how representing the city was the pinnacle as a schoolboy, beating other districts, some of the lads they played against who went on to be famous, and the pride of pulling on the schoolboy shirt that still relevant today.
We keep telling you all that’s what @WalkFlorrie is all about. It’s never just a walk or a day out, it’s connection, shared memories, and giving people the space to open up in their own way.
Football brought it out of them today and it was brilliant to see #NeverAlone ❤️💙
A brilliant morning out for @WalkFlorrie as we headed to Pickering Pasture
Plenty of wildlife on show today. All sorts of birds to the peaceful surroundings that give you a chance to switch off and just take it all in.
We find Monday mornings are more than just a walk. They’re about clearing the head, good conversations, and reminding ourselves how important it is to get out, connect, and look after our wellbeing.
If you’ve been thinking about coming along & join us us @WalkFlorrie this is your sign, you’ll always be made welcome & we’d love to meet you #NeverAlone ❤️💙
A double header this morning for @WalkFlorrie first in the minibus to @WhistonWoods & then after a quick visit back on the road to @halewoodtriangle & another chilled walk & a bite to eat as well
Who doesn’t love a bit of sun?
Sunlight increases serotonin levels in the brain, which can help you feel calmer, happier, and more focused
That’s why even a short walk in the sun can lift your spirits #NeverAlone ❤️💙
We’ve just received a beautiful email.
@WalkFlorrie have been offered a plot on Park Hill Community Allotment’s, been over a year on the waiting list for this & to say we’re buzzing is an understatement.
It’s for everyone at @WalkFlorrie to attend, treat & look after whenever they want, there’ll be a key to the gate & we’ll have our own shed, whenever we feel like anyone one of us can just go & help out.
It’ll be good for our wellbeing & mental health, also a nice place for some quiet time, can’t wait to start growing our own veg & sharing amongst the group & @TheFlorrie activities
Start by getting our gardening class in @TheFlorrie for some beginners help & we already know a few of the group who had an allotment in the past, so their input will be so helpful.
@AVPteVallecas we now have our own Utopia #NeverAlone ❤️💙
Today @WalkFlorrie took all trip over the water to visit a member not to good at the minute & also take in @LeasoweCastle as well
These lads never ease to amaze with the support & brotherhood they show for each other
Plenty of laughs, good conversations, and another reminder that with @WalkFlorrie nobody will ever #NeverAlone ❤️💙
Percy green fingers the group this morning to meet up with @FOPP2018 & plant some snowdrops & cowslips at the Florrie Triangle
But this is what @WalkFlorrie is all about, we’re more than just a walk.
We’re also about connection, purpose, and giving something back into our community.
Whether it’s supporting each other, brightening up our area & beyond, or simply being there for a chat when someone needs it #NeverAlone ❤️💙
There’s nothing quite like getting out in the fresh air, having a good laugh, and stretching your legs with a lovely group of women 🩷💜
@TheFlorrie women’s weekly walks are the perfect mix of movement, chat, and feel-good energy. One minute you’re taking in the sights of our beautiful city, the next you’re deep in conversation or laughing about something completely random because that’s what happens when great people come together!
Being outdoors is such a boost for your mind and body. It helps you clear your head, lift your mood, and just feel better. And when you add friendly faces, wagging tails, and a welcoming atmosphere, it becomes something really special.
Whether you come on your own or with a friend, you’ll always be welcomed with a smile. No pressure, no expectations, just fresh air, good company, and a chance to enjoy the city we’re lucky to call home 🌿
So pop on your trainers, bring the kids or the dog, and come join us. You might just find it becomes your favourite part of the week 🩷💜

@WalkFlorrie is going nowhere, we’re a constant. We have to be. So lads know there’s always somewhere to go, when not feeling too good.
Mutual support & sharing experiences often help a lack of belonging and emotional connection. Remember we’re here for you. Every Monday & Friday at 10.30 from @TheFlorrie
#NeverAlone ❤️💙
Really needed today’s walk & more importantly really needed the company. Good to have Andrew Byrne join us this morning as well.
“It’s going to be alright” someone said to me, it’s seems an of the cuff remark but when you break it down, there’s power in them words.
They works best when it’s backed by real solidarity, being there for someone, walking beside them, giving them space to talk or just be.
Please remember it’s never as bad as you think. #NeverAlone ❤️💙
At @WalkFlorrie we love to walk & we love to talk
Where every step brings us closer & every conversation makes us stronger.
Join us please every Monday & Friday @TheFlorrie#NeverAlone ❤️💙
