Aberdeen FC Committed to Invest Tens of Millions into new Community Stadium 🔴
Following an outpouring of messages and social media posts from those angered by a recent piece in the P&J, the Club has issued this statement ⤵️

“@AberdeenFC are not expecting the council to pay for it all, they’re expecting it to be a partnership between them, the council and others.”
@RickyJBrooks has claimed comments made by @AberdeenCC co-leader Ian Yuill were “disingenuous” in relation to a new football stadium.
"The cost of building a new Aberdeen FC stadium would be around the cost of building three new primary schools in Aberdeen'"
Co-leader of Aberdeen City Council @IanYuill has insisted "no public money" from @AberdeenCC will be spent on a new stadium for @AberdeenFC.
Will @AberdeenFC chief Dave Cormack's offer to give the Pittodrie land to @AberdeenCC move the needle in the push for a new co-owned Dons stadium on the city's beachfront?
Sat down with @PJ_PThird and ACC expert @BenHendry1 to talk it through🆎🎥

@DandyDonSF Hi, I have regular meetings with Aberdeen Football Club, they have invited opposition politicians to meet us all at Pittodrie soon.
It was already arranged but the opposition wants to control the narrative away from the club, not on my watch.
There never should be a debate over a 50/50 split for a cup final.
That said, hopefully Celtic sell their tickets in such a way that sections can be handed over to Aberdeen if they don't sell out...
Labour councillors want a £300m project that would include a new stadium for Aberdeen FC, if they get into power on three years time.

@Innes1983 A combination of modern building regulations and uefa requirements means the footprint is vastly reduced.
A capacity of 12-14k is about right.
What should Aberdeen do regarding the stadium?
Build stand alone stadium at the beach, still try to work with the council on a community stadium, revisit their plans at Kingsford, or build at Pittodrie even though it would mean a much reduced capacity?
@StandFreeDon My own opinion is build a standalone stadium at the beach. Second choice would be Kingsford.
Would always avoid doing anything with the council.
