Who got out for a magical sunset paddle this evening?
I’ve been out in the cairngorms, but Loch Vaa was once again stunning. And so warm. Shallow waters means the water temperature is always high on a hot day.
@BrianEwen@ClunyMorrison I guess she means by paddleboard. Maybe 45 minutes each way, but it will all depend on tide and currents. You get a bit of a push and pull along the coastline
Ahead of tomorrow’s sunrise paddle, a reminder of the extent of the navigational channel of the harbour.
Any paddling into the harbour channel may cause a shut down of the harbour, so please be careful not to go beyond the end of the harbour wall.
Well that was a great start to the day, and we couldn’t have asked for a better morning
Glass like water, perfect skies, and even dolphins in the distance
I counted 28 of us, which was great to see. Lovely to meet new faces too

Took a trip down the Dee this morning from Milltimber to the fisherman’s bothy. Lovely as always, but as shallow as I have seen it in a while.
Lots of fin tickling on the rocks below, and quite a few times we had to get off and carry the boards a bit

Comes with bag, paddle, pump, fin, leash, repair kit and a handy pump attachment to use a car tyre inflater
Can’t see it online, so keep your eyes peeled in store. And you’ll need a Tesco clubcard
Popped in to Tesco for a coffee. Came out with *another* paddle board.
But at £119, it was a total bargain
Tested it out on Loch Vaa and it held up remarkably well. Tracking not as great as a heavier duty board, but it held my weight no problem and felt really stable
It wouldn’t be midsummer’s day without a SUP trip to the beach. Nice to see so many faces, and I’m glad the rain stayed off most of the time.
Sadly no sunrise, but there are rumours the dolphins came out to play

Thanks to Lyle Smith at @GraniteAdvent for inviting us out to Their base at Drumoak for a lovely evening paddle. A beautiful location and great to get out on the water. Definitely recommend it for a chilled out paddle
