This is highly disappointing and unacceptable.

We purchased a Hitachi Air Conditioner in April 2024. While it performed well initially, for the past 9–10 months it has been completely non-functional. Despite registering multiple complaints, there has been zero resolution.

On February 16, 2025, a distressing incident of police brutality unfolded at Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (#MANIT), #Bhopal, when police forces entered the campus and hostels late at night, attacking students without provocation. The altercation reportedly started after the Director allegedly assaulted a student in front of a gathering. In response, police launched a violent lathi charge, targeting #students indiscriminately.

Reports indicate that the police entered hostel rooms, beating students who were either sleeping, studying for exams, or going about their daily activities. #KamlaNagar #PoliceStation’s In-charge (#SHO) and her team are said to have used abusive language and excessive force during the assault. Multiple students sustained injuries, and a climate of fear has since gripped the campus.

Despite the violence taking place in the presence of the Director, officials including the Dean of Student Welfare and the Chairman of the Council of Wardens denied any knowledge of the incident. The incident has sparked outrage, calling for an independent inquiry and accountability for those responsible, including the Director, the police, and other officials involved.

Students have documented evidence, including videos and testimonies, to support their claims, demanding immediate action to ensure safety and #justice.
