💡Daniel (“God is my Judge”) → was named Belteshazzar (“Bel’s prince”)
💡Hananiah (“Yahweh is gracious”) → Shadrach (“command of Aku”)
💡Mishael (“Who is like God?”) → Meshach (“Who is like Aku?”)
💡Azariah (“God is my helper”) → Abednego (“servant of Nebo”)
Some details worth noting:
Daniel and his friends had Hebrew names that honored God, yet while serving in the king’s palace, they were given Babylonian names that honored false gods—and over time, those names have become more commonly used.
11. Don’t give up. Keep going. May the Lord go with you this year as you grow deeper in Him—rooted and fruitful, in Jesus’ name. 🙏

Enjoy Bible reading in 2026
I truly can’t explain how excited I get studying the Bible—alone or with others. I love hearing what people are learning about God and His Word. My prayer is that many more experience this same joy as we step into 2026, in Jesus’ name.
I was going through a tunnel yesterday, and for some reason, the only thought that kept coming to me was, “One day, all of this will crumble. It will all come to an end—only God’s Word will remain.”
