She was already a doctor. She was already serving in the Armed Forces.

But Squadron Leader Pallakshi Prasad knew she still had another dream to pursue.

At 28, she was serving as a medical officer at Air Force Station Kanpur. Before that, she had spent nearly 2.5 years serving aboard a warship. 🇮🇳

Her days were filled with patients, military duties and the demands of service.

Yet, she kept studying.

📚 Whenever duty allowed, she returned to her books and online classes — sometimes after duty hours, sometimes between patients.

There was no perfect routine.

Just consistency.

Then came the NEET PG 2026 result.

🏆 AIR 2.

Pallakshi had already shown that determination years earlier. After securing AIR 1,312 in NEET UG 2016, she joined the Armed Forces Medical College after securing Girls Merit Rank 3 and eventually graduated sixth in overall merit in her batch.

She was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 2021 and later moved to the Indian Air Force in 2025.

During her internship, she also presented research on chronic kidney disease at the Bombay Medical Congress.

Now, she is considering radiology, internal medicine and dermatology for specialisation.

✨ Her achievement was celebrated by DGAFMS Air Marshal Sandeep Thareja, who congratulated her and called it a proud achievement for AFMC.

Years ago, when her father told her that becoming a doctor meant studying throughout life, her answer was simple:

“I want to become a doctor.”

She became one.

And she never stopped learning. 💙
