I regularly reference an RC Sproul sermon I heard at a Founders conference from maybe 20 years ago. It shaped how I think about suffering in profound ways and frankly, brought me through dark times. I’m grateful now as ever.

Founders was a worthy resource and influence for me as a reformed Baptist.

But I’m bummed their president feels the need to throw a slur implying homosexuality at me because he didn’t like my take on his governor’s servile response to the Zelenskyy/Trump meeting in the Oval Office.

I won’t lose sleep over it. Frankly, it’s almost predictable. But it’s as clear evidence as anything of the poison of political ideology. It’s iron logic justifies all manner of evil.

And because this was so uncoordinated and unwarranted, it put people and communities at risk. All for a photo op.
