This totally satisfies the 'geek' in me!
Imagine the Empire State Building bathed in an ominous red glow, with Star Wars-themed imagery projected onto its facade. Take a peek below...👇😎 https://t.co/iENP0tp0dN
The Mariner Centre in Yarmouth was designed in 2000 and includes 2 ice surfaces & community centre. The exterior structure is comprised of load bearing pre-cast insulated panels with a steel joist/deck roof structure. Interior is comprised of structural steel elements & concrete.
Hope you all had a safe and fun St. Patrick’s Day weekend! Interesting twist on these breeze blocks as they are coated with Polyurea, making them resistant to even sledgehammer blows. https://t.co/cwBG4TYBYQ
Some light Friday reading for you that’s also interesting engineering as this classic classroom toy inspired scientists to build an electricity generator that generated an output of over 100 volts & worked for several days using only 100 ml water as fuel.

The spectacularly engineered Millau Viaductmis bridge’s highest tower soars to 1,125ft, making it the tallest cable-stayed road bridge in the world. Its tallest towers surpass the Eiffel Tower (986ft) & are almost as tall as the Empire State Building (1,250ft).
Located in Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Harbour Isle is a new mixed use waterfront community and ABLE Engineering was privileged to be the original civil design consultant on the project since 2008. The $2,000,000 road construction project was completed on time and on budget. #able
Amazing engineering at its best right here. Built on a high cliff in China, The Bailong Elevator is the highest and heaviest outdoor elevator in the world. It is 1,070 feet high, takes two minutes to ride, and can carry 50 people in one trip with a total of 18,000 people daily.
A Canadian company has a new eco friendly compact tidal turbine that can generate as much power as 12 solar panels. At its maximum, a single turbine can produce 12kWh of power a day and is connected to the battery grid that gets charged continuously. https://t.co/Edlc02suPv

One of the greatest engineering marvels in our lifetime is the International Space Station. Moving at speeds of 28000 km/h it circles the earth once every 90 min at an average altitude of 400kms. Plus it has great views like the aurora borealis.

Happy Friday everyone! How about heading into the weekend with a quick and amazing engineering post? The Grand Canyon Skywalk is a horseshoe-shaped, glass-bottomed structure jutting out twenty horizontal metres over the side of the Grand Canyon, 1450m up from the canyon’s base.
The Gordon R. Snow Community Centre and fire hall is located in Fall River, NS, that Able helped come to life with cast in place concrete, steel and insulated tilt-up panels, steel columns and a curved high centre roof that allows for natural illumination. #local#community#able
Happy Heritage Day all! This year William Hall is being honoured as the first African Nova Scotian awarded the British empire’s highest award for bravery, the Victoria Cross. The Downtown Halifax Business Commission is also showing a light show in downtown until 11pm tonight.
How about an amazing south shore Nova Scotia winter drone shot for you to check out this weekend? The lovely town of Lunenburg is the subject and the source is unknown. #lovewherewelive#southshore#ableengineering
DYK that Metropolitan Place in Dartmouth is one of the premier office buildings in HRM?! This complete 207,000 sq ft design, 16+ floor structure was done in two phases and utilizes concrete columns and slabs for all but the penthouse which is steel. #local#ableengineering
