Earlier soil sampling is being promoted. For farmers in S AB with moist soil, research shows nutrient change often occurs between now & freeze up. It’s best to wait until mid Oct for soils to cool. To effectively use precision fertilizer applic - soil tests need to be precise!

This research concluded that once you notice herbicide resistance (>1%), it's too late to change the proportion of weeds affected by it because there is typically no fitness penalty. Best way to delay resistance? Mix multiple effective modes of action. Better than MOA rotation.
