Official Twitter page - Abolition Today podcast whose specific focus is abolishing modern slavery as practiced through the 13th amendment of the US constitution
As a matter of fact, we'll present the 2023 pro-slavery perspective. Because there is one & it's hella loud & influential.
The next time you hear someone say nobody would argue in favor of keeping slavery legal, tell them Abolition Today said YES, they have, and they will.
Tonight @ 7pm Eastern
If @MaxParthas & @YuHassanBolden had a nickle for every time someone told them that no one would argue in favor of slavery today, they'd be half rich.

We've heard it and counter-argued in person as public testimony. We've heard it on zoom meetings of official congressional and senate hearings, and we've heard it from people with mass media platforms that reach millions.
As always, we will tie it all together with great music, spoken word, and bring the voices of the abolitionist ancestors back to life for a new generation.
Tonight, @MaxParthas & @YuHassanBolden are joined by New Hampshire activist, abolitionist, and Organizer Ophelia Healing Justice and N.H. State Representative Amanda Bouldin.

Thank you @UN for calling forced prison labor "a contemporary version of slavery". It actually IS slavery, since the 13th Amendment allows slavery to continue as punishment for a crime. Time to #endtheexception and #AbolishSlaveryUS!

California and North Carolina are the only two states that abolished slavery in their state constitution but added an exception to protect the practice of involuntary servitude. As always, we asked why, then provided real answers.
In honor of the passing of John Knippel, treasurer of @NoExceptionsNC, & his slavery abolitionist legacy, we will rebroadcast this episode where @MaxParthas, @YuHassanBolden, & John were together in the Paul Cuffee Abolitionist Center in Sumter, SC
We were joined by slavery abolitionist Samual Nathaniel Brown. Original author of the California abolition act which he wrote while incarcerated. He's one of the lead advocates for ACA8. The 2023 California Abolition Act.
