This video is fascinating because
- every single word of it is blatantly incorrect to the point of absurdity
- tens of thousands of people somehow believed it anyway
1. Every single tech company has come out strongly against age verification laws. I have no clue how you can come to the opposite conclusion.
2. Companies have no trouble discerning AI traffic from human traffic because they literally identify themselves as AIs. Google "user agent".
3. This also has nothing to do with super PACs and foreign lobbyists. They don't have super PACs in Australia, Brazil, Indonesia, Malaysia, the UK, Gabon, Kenya, Mauritius, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Bahrain, India, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Canada, Pakistan, the Phillippines, Turkey, Korea, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Slovenia, Equador, Australia, and New Guinea, yet all of these countries either have implemented age verification laws or have announced their intentions to.
Blaming age verification laws on corporations and super PACs is genuinely a 0 IQ take, but it's a great example of how most people are too dumb to understand the government just does bad things, so they need to blame everything on evil "corporations" or the ever-present vague evil of "lobbyists".
This may sound racist, but if everything Satrapi Writes about is garbage and Iran is actually good to live in... why not just go live in iran? Why tweet from the comfort of NYC if Iran is so great and everything bad about it is propaganda too?
