@Relimitz A palliative 'cause' is essentially a movement formed around some (usually nihilistic) ideology in which individuals are heavily incentivized to perpetuate this collective hopelessness for social gratification and monetary gain. It's palliative bc it doesn't 'cure' anything.

I've grown less sympathetic towards those who have given up on engaging with reality in favor of joining these palliative 'causes'. I don't wish harm on these types but I do not feel the need to coddle them if they are so obstinate on being a nuisance to everyone around them.
