@Fan_Advocacy @qtcinderella You don’t get to choose what someone finds painful, if you get offended because someone on the internet said fuck mothers day because it’s painful for them that’s something you need to work through
@RgTruth63135@xLogicxl@jk_rowling Actually it’s not the term stopped being used because hermaphroditism refers to a species that produces both sperm and ova, something that is impossible in humans and also having both sets of sex organs isn’t the only intersex condition.
@joannabanananaa@jk_rowling You’re right women wearing pants is actually really offensive I can’t believe we’ve been getting away with it for so long…
(Clothing isn’t gendered you dunce it’s fabric and historically a lot of clothes women now mostly wear were deemed masculine)
@AnthroFragment @JustStop_Oil Yeah let’s give vandals 10 year sentences, they’re so much worse than the rapists and pedo who get less.
And I’m sure when little Timmy go gets Into trouble for spray painting in the park this authoritarian bs won’t bite him either…
@camdunnegf @literarycore Nothing has happened to him but that doesn’t mean his safety hasn’t been impacted or that he hasn’t had to increase security Id like if if more said stuff but I also know it’s unrealistic to think there hasn’t been stuff security has had to refer to the police stemming from it
@bye_bye_bee_boy@monsthought Please read the full FAQ’s on the BDS website (both the list under the offices bds items and the extended faq list)
It makes pretty clear the focus should be on core bds products and then extend out to Israeli owned and that boycotting monopolies isn’t effective
@monsthought@bye_bye_bee_boy Or you should do that and read the FAQ’s on the BDS website that states boycotting near monopolies isn’t an effective strategy hence why they only promoted boycotting a subcompany
@skelm_baguette@monsthought Yep like when you actually read the BDS website they don’t promote the boycott of near monopoly companies (they use the example of intel because intel actually directly invests in Israel’s military) because the point is to impact profits/stock so it isn’t successful
@HarperPastel@monsthought@Arc_Angel101 Like frankly until most people can name the core BDS products it’s a waste of energy to bitch about things which have a far far smaller financial link. that’s how we got more people boycotting Starbucks than stuff like HP.
@HarperPastel@monsthought@Arc_Angel101 also the point of the boycotts is to be easy the more we bitch at everyone who buys a three degrees of separation products the more that points defeated.
also I’d genuinely bet a significant amount of money OP has bought a pepsico product in the last few months
@riseUPwoman Region especially is baffling like whose going around abroad saying they’re from like Normandy?
idk did you confuse wales/Scotland/Northern Ireland for regions or something? (They’re countries)
@riseUPwoman @SheIsImaniB Most people from other countries genuinely don’t mention region (I’ve literally never even heard of someone introducing by region of country) and unless the city is the single most famous city in the country.
@matcharexia It’s because you don’t notice the mass xenophobia from america because it doesn’t affect you. Like I saw a video of a European kid being nice about American food at least 10% of the comments were nasty comments by Americans about that kids home country/food.
@gomezquality Honestly it annoys me how much attention boycotting Starbucks gets when it isn’t even remotely official BDS, like I see countless posts about Starbucks but never any about HP and other companies who have been deemed the most important to boycott.
@SabrinainPariss@sageforpres@alwayzbeaFan @Lestappen_Logan @gomezquality I can’t tell the exact source they used but know snopes/Reuters and the like have articles saying the same.
the origin of the starbucks should be boycotted thing is a trademark dispute with the union being interpreted as a stance.
@Sillyboy_56 @skramzie YouTube let’s you make minor edits without having to re upload the video so it seems like she’s done that
(I’m pretty sure it’s not in there anymore but i was scanning so might’ve missed it)
@sdptheghost @still_oppressed Like tactical vote for the presidency and work on 1) consolidating support for ONE third party and 2) getting people in as representatives 3) promote legislation that helps make the electoral system less two party dominated
@sdptheghost @still_oppressed And magically all pick the same party from your list and all do so when none of the parties have had notable experience in congress/the senate.
simple fact is no third party stands a chance this election which means they’re not a viable choice or a useful thing to vote for
