@NottsFOSAC once again leading the way in imaginative community engagement -even with ongoing Covid restrictions. We really enjoyed the challenge of adapting our more conventional offering (top right 😊) to bring @UoNSPT research to #CuriousNotts this year. Watch this space!

Some call it chatterbox and some call it paper fortune teller. I try to google for its name in Malay and its come out as 'origami mainan jari tangan' or 'peramal kertas' = fortune teller😆
@parcelforce Hi I have a parcel from Malaysia that has been held at the Nottingham Depot since July 18th waiting for custom charges clearance. However, I have not received any letter regarding this. Can I pick up my parcel myself and pay by cash at the depot office?
@floranisza but if you perform a reaction using a protein the buffer and temperature have to be at the optimum level for the protein to maintain its active form. You can check this from the literature on the protein that you study.
@floranisza The good condition includes low temperature, pH not lower than the isoelectric point of the protein of interest, the addition of induction compounds such as isopropyl-β-D-thiogalactopyranoside (IPTG) or δ -aminolevulinic acid and other small molecules such as trace metal ions.
@floranisza Hi @floranisza thank you for your question. When you expressing the protein it is important to make sure the expression condition can promote good gene transcription and translation.

Hi, a bit intro to myself I am Aziana, a second-year PhD. student from the Sustainable Process Technologies Research Group, Faculty of Engineering. I hope everyone enjoy reading my poster. Any question, comment and suggestion are welcome.
My research can be divided into two background the biology and followed by the chemical. The works that I presented today is more to biologically producing the enzyme that will be use in chemical reaction as a biocatalyst. I try my best to make it simple and easy to understand.
