Israeli forces shot dead a civilian with a disability on Thursday in the village of Jamla in western Daraa province. The man was hit as the forces entered the village in several military vehicles.
The shooting coincided with the Israeli military's positioning of snipers on the rooftops of houses in the village's eastern district, where the forces moved into residential neighborhoods and reportedly searched homes systematically.
Baniyas is a Syrian city on the coast. Contrary to the common perception that Syria’s coastal region is predominantly Alawite, most of its people are actually Sunni Muslims, and they are generally among the kindest, warmest people you could meet.
In 2013, at the height of the Syrian uprising, the Assad regime laid siege to the villages around Baniyas, particularly al-Bayda, using sectarian militias made up of Alawites and Shia fighters. Once they were certain the resistance had been defeated, these monsters stormed the village, rounded up women and children, separated men from their families, and committed the most horrific massacres. They slaughtered women and men in cold blood and killed children in front of their families. This was not a battle. It was a sectarian massacre of innocent people whose only crime was being Muslims.
I still remember the anguish and helplessness I felt when footage of the massacres first appeared in the media. I also remember seeing the leader of those groups, Ali Kayali, openly talking about their intention to "cleanse Baniyas." Those were his exact words.
At the time, I thought he would never face justice. I believed that the only way to reach a criminal of his stature was to bring down the Assad regime itself. But Assad had Iran and its militias, imported from across the region and beyond, fighting on his side, with Russia providing air support. I told myself that my only consolation was knowing that one day he would stand before Allah the Almighty. And I prayed to Allah to let me witness his punishment on the Day of Judgment.
But Allah’s plans unfold in ways we cannot foresee.
Assad fell. His forces were defeated and fled like rats. I had almost given up hope of ever seeing this sectarian butcher brought to justice, I thought that he most have escaped somewhere beyond our reach. Then, after more than 13 years, the news I had waited so long to hear finally came: Ali Kayali, the Butcher of Baniyas, had been arrested.
I share this not simply to tell the story of Syria, where sectarian fanatics unleashed a campaign of killing and destruction, but to remind every battered and grieving city, from Gaza to Taiz, that no oppressor is beyond the reach of Allah. What seems impossible today can become reality tomorrow. No power lasts forever, and no criminal is beyond His judgment.
والله غالبٌ على أمره ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون
Israel pushed to lift sanctions on Assad.
After Assad fell, Netanyahu personally lobbied to *keep* them.
Here are the basic facts: #Syria rejected Iranian imperialism & its #IRGC-led occupation while it is pursuing - instead of being an Iranian proxy such as Hezbollah - its own policy focused on rebuilding the country.
That didn't go down well in pro-Iran circles: nearly 2 years on, they are still stuck in the grieving process.
And that explains the hysterical reaction of pro-Iran/Hezbollah camp, flooding social media with misinformation, while Hezbollah trained cells to carry out attacks in Syria to destabilize post-Assad transition.
Axis of Captagon supporters can be as loud as they want - echo chambers don't change facts.
In 2024, before Assad was toppled, he was invited back into the Arab league, Biden sent negotiators to normalise, and even Erdogan tried to reach out. Everyone thought he was here to stay.
There was no attempt, covert or otherwise, from a foreign government to topple him. This was clear when looking at official statements, intelligence leaks, and even media at the time.
Behind the scenes, the revolutionaries were working day and night to liberate Syria, and by the will of god they succeeded in doing so independently despite all odds. Anyone that says otherwise is either ignorant or lying.
Former US National Security Advisor McMaster in front of Former Mossad Director, Yossi Cohen says:
Putin convinced Israel to work with him to keep Assad in power in exchange for promises to reduce Iranian presence in Syria
@Gabor_Friesen@GeoConfirmed This area is on the border between Lebanon and Syria - it's unclear if Tice was briefly taken into Lebanon - but as a border region, it was crawling with Syrian soldiers in 2012.
An armed convoy wouldn't have been able to operate here without the Syrian military seeing them.
@Gabor_Friesen The post history of “Captain Khalid” includes raises questions about the authenticity of their claimed identity as a defected officer, including claiming to have planted fifty explosive devices, claiming to not have joined a battalion, instead doing “jihad work alone.”
Court records from a U.S. lawsuit revealed that the money he mentions here came directly from the Middle East Forum think tank.
The head of the Middle East Forum is Greg Roman. He is a former employee of the Israeli Ministry of Defence and the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
A Palestinian woman hugged her olive tree one last time as Israel continues to uproot dozens of trees in the occupied West Bank – just weeks before the traditional olive harvest known as "mawsim al-zaytoun."
Remember every time you see a post about banning sharia, or how abdool and hasan piker are going to revive the neo ottoman space caliphate, or how Muslims hate dogs and will ban beer in Texas:
It's all just to cover for this.
Killing kids.
true story: Ratko Mladić's own war time diary was used as evidence in his war crimes tribunal. In it, he wrote of the arms and training supplied by Israel to Serbia AFTER the international arms embargo, during the genocide, shortly before the Srebrenica massacre.
Journalists, international investigators, and human rights organizations documented extensive physical and circumstantial proof on the ground, which heavily corroborated the transactions hinted at in Ratko Mladić’s diary. They recovered spent artillery shells, mortar rounds, and specialized ammunition with distinct Hebrew inscriptions, found at Serb military positions surrounding besieged Bosnian cities, including Sarajevo.
When human rights lawyer Eitay Mack tried to petition to the court to declassify Israeli archives to ascertain the extent of the weapons transfers, Israel's High Court refused, claiming that the truth could damage Israel's reputation.
WATCH: Israeli "settlers" stole a donkey from a Palestian farmer and dragged it until it died in the South Hebron Hills, occupied West Bank.
The footage shows the animal being pulled and struggling as the vehicle moves.
Israel didn’t just “fire on a car”, the Red Cross told them 5-year-old Hind was in that car. IDF gave permission to an ambulance to enter the area, then ambushed & bombed that ambulance, shot 355 bullets at Hind’s car, prevented anyone from reaching her body for 12 days & lied about it for 2 years saying “we never even had troops in that area” despite satellite images & audio recordings proving they were lying!
It's actually comical how much the mythical spectre of world wide anti-Semitism has defined the past 3 years, while this is how normal American politicians talk about Muslims.
The Israeli army demolished a 120-year-old Palestinian home in the village of Ni'lin in the West Bank, claiming it did not have a building permit.
How can Israel require a building permit for a house that was built decades before the State of Israel even existed?
