Small improvements, repeated consistently, can lead to very different outcomes.
As we begin a new week, may we focus on the little things we can do better each day.
Let all that you do be done in love. - 1 Corinthians 16:14
May this Sunday remind us to lead with kindness, share with those in need, and make time for the people who matter most.
Wishing everyone a blessed and peaceful Sunday.
There’s something about power and how it places its holders in a bubble, Creates an illusion of immortality, and then eventually slowly kills you without notice. Unfortunately, as human as we are, we never learn, even if we do, we struggle to grasp the lessons.
You took state resources to buy Gold ($1,000). Then afterwards, you went to sell the Gold and got only ($800).
Ultimately, you lost $200 of the state money in the transaction.
Citizens are asking you to explain how you could buy and sell gold and run losses and you vex ??
I no dey barb??
And then, the government is not denying that they run losses? But are rather asking the citizens to identify which state agency run the loss?
So yeah, according to the NDC government, the money is lost… but as the citizens await explanations for the loss, they are spending time explaining which of them incurred the loss…
Vhim!!!
I have always held the view from day one, about how much of a scam this government is, but to think they would fall on their own sword this early?? I never imagined it …

Over the past week, all manner of insults and personal attacks have been directed at me, apparently in an attempt to impugn my character and divert attention from the substantive questions I have raised. False and defamatory allegations have also been made about my motives for questioning the losses incurred under the Bank of Ghana’s Domestic Gold Purchase Programme and the role of GoldBod in those transactions.
These allegations are entirely false, and I reject them without qualification.
As Minority Leader in Parliament, my responsibility is to help Parliament discharge its constitutional oversight function. My actions have been guided solely by that responsibility. I have neither acted from any improper motive nor conducted myself inappropriately in the performance of my duties.
I recognise that, in public life, those who are uncomfortable with legitimate scrutiny may push back. In some cases, they may resort to false allegations, personal attacks and ridicule in an effort to shift attention from the substantive issues and make the person asking the questions the subject of controversy.
I remain focused. I will continue working with the Minority Caucus to initiate the necessary parliamentary processes for a full inquiry into the reported GH¢22 billion loss arising from the trading done by the GoldBod and reflected in the books of the Bank of Ghana.
The International Monetary Fund has reported a loss of approximately US$1.7 billion under this programme in 2025. Whichever institution’s balance sheet carries that figure, it represents public money. Ghanaians are, therefore, entitled to know who the off-takers were, what discounts were applied to their purchases, on whose authority those discounts were approved, and what fees were earned from the transactions.
They are equally entitled to a full disaggregation of the US$1.7 billion: how much arose from foreign-exchange differentials; how much resulted from the prices at which GoldBod bought and sold the gold; and what considerations informed the management decisions behind those transactions.
These questions belong in the public record. The Minority will continue to place them there, in writing and with our sources published, so that every Ghanaian can examine the evidence and arrive at an informed judgment, rather than merely take my word or anyone else’s.
On the defamatory statements made against me personally, I intend to pursue the appropriate legal remedies. Meanwhile, my attention, and that of the Caucus I lead, remains firmly focused on the programme, the decisions taken and the public funds involved.
Signed
Alexander Kwamena Afenyo-Markin
Minority Leader in Parliament
I was detained in one of the most dangerous cell near the sea in Jamestown, Accra, after turning myself in to National Security with my lawyer.
During my detention, there was no running water, so I couldn't bathe until the day I was released and guess what? I had to use sachet water bought by inmates to bath. We also had to eat next to the toilet that couldn't be flushed due to no water, so waste built up all day and was only flushed once at night with sachet water. It was hell in there.
This is something I will never forget and I doubt I can ever forgive this NDC Government for what it has done to me.
I will share my full account on what I experienced despite not having committed any crime.
@GhanaSocialUni This is false bro. Refer to any Muslim any where insulting Jesus Christ. Any Muslim that insult Jesus Christ is not considered a practicing Muslim. Jesus Christ is considered a prophet of Allah by Muslims.
@GhanaSocialUni This is false. Mention one Muslim who has ever insulted Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is a prophet of Allah. Any Muslim who insults Jesus Christ is not a practicing Muslim. But are you also indirectly endorsing what the pastor said?

The message is resonating. The structures are responding. The delegates are energised.
The journey has begun—and the momentum is only getting stronger.
We have done it before. We will do it again. Let’s win together !
