mark its 18th year anniversary, the Abuja Unity Lions Club organized a free Diabetes Awareness and Screening Outreach for officers and personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) today.
The initiative was designed to promote early detection, healthier living, and improved well-being among officers who spend long hours on the road and often face high-stress working conditions.
In commemoration of Abuja Mental Awareness Day, we organized a seminar in collaboration with @abujamegalionsclub and @rotaryinternational for SS3 students of Government Secondary School, Garki fostering open conversations on mental health,

At the Abuja Unity Lions Club’s Diabetes Screening, members came together with one mission, to fight the silent threat of diabetes in our community. Through free screenings, we helped people know their health status early.
Through awareness campaigns, we shared life-saving information on prevention and lifestyle changes. And through open conversations, we reminded our community that early detection and healthy living can make all the difference.

We’re excited to announce that our club, in collaboration with other clubs in our zone, will be hosting a special service activity at Jabi Lake on 9th August in commemoration of World Lions Conservation Day.
Project Objectives:
1. Aerobic Exercise: Promote physical fitness and well-being through a fun aerobic session.
2. Cleaning: Clean up the Jabi Lake area to promote environmental conservation.
3. Diabetes Screening: Provide free diabetes screening to the community.
