After a continuous 4-day hunger strike demanding a drug-free and non-students cum outsider-free Utkal University, National Executive Member of ABVP Bishwajit Patra and other karyakartas have received a written assurance from the Vice-Chancellor, university authorities, and government officials that the issue will be resolved within 1-2 weeks. The Vice-Chancellor ended the indefinite hunger strike by offering water to Karyakartas.

आज ओडिशा की राजधानी भुवनेश्वर में मेरे जनसभा कार्यक्रम के दौरान अखिल भारतीय विद्यार्थी परिषद (ABVP) के गुंडों ने संगठित तरीके से जानलेवा हमला किया। लगभग 250 के झुंड में आए इन असामाजिक तत्वों ने कार्यक्रम स्थल पर पथराव किया, हिंसा फैलाई, हमारे कार्यकर्ताओं पर हमला किया और दर्जनों वाहनों को क्षतिग्रस्त कर दिया। यह हमला सिर्फ मुझ पर नहीं, बल्कि लोकतंत्र, संविधान और सामाजिक न्याय की आवाज को कुचलने का एक षड्यंत्र है।

यह घटना साफ दर्शाती है कि संघ परिवार के संगठनों को सत्ता का खुला संरक्षण प्राप्त है। यह वही ताकतें हैं जो बहुजन आंदोलन, दलित-पिछड़े समाज और संवैधानिक अधिकारों के लिए उठने वाली हर आवाज को हिंसा और गुंडागर्दी से दबाने की कोशिश करती हैं। लेकिन हम साफ कर देना चाहते हैं - हम डरने वाले नहीं हैं, हम झुकने वाले नहीं हैं!

मैं @CMO_Odisha व @DGPOdisha से मांग करता हूँ कि इस हमले के सभी दोषियों को अविलंब गिरफ्तार किया जाए और उनके खिलाफ कठोरतम कानूनी कार्रवाई हो।
