Fun fact: under Han Dynasty law there were 2 ways to commute a death sentence, pay a large fine or accept castration.
Sima Qian (the grand historian of the Han Dynasty who'd been condemned to death for publicly defending a general, Li Ling, who had surrendered to the enemy) was too poor for the fine, so he chose castration.
In this famous letter to his friend Ren An he explains that this is but a small price to pay to finish his monumental Shiji (a comprehensive history of the entire known world), and that even "a thousand mutilations" would be worth it. Not sure many contemporary authors have this kind of commitment to their craft 😏
Sima Qian was eventually vindicated: his Shiji is now considered the foundational work of Chinese historiography. He didn't lose his manhood for nothing...
people posting photos of shirtless men are taking the assignment too literally imo (also, it's WINTER!). imo, the answer is a mohair-blend suit or a double-breasted suit with a denim shirt. or if you want something swanky, a black velvet jacket with flared jeans.
The other important key to the success of KPop Demon Hunters - it's just plain a great movie, let's be clear - is that it's FOR the youth of today. It's fresh new IP they can call their own. It's not warmed up leftovers from their dad's generation. Hollywood needs to catch up.
