Being sold out before it showed available is insane work. It shouldnt be this hard to participate in your favorite card game. I've managed to get lucky on 1 regional so far and I know some who havent gotten in one at all. I really hope ticket sales get a better process on 2027

@LilyRiftbound I've been competing in card games for nearly 12 years and have only had to deal with a cheater twice. You raise your hand and call judge and let them handle it. You just have to be mindful of your opponents actions and most of the time it was a simple mistake and not malicious

@MomSkyRB We got super bummed here when he said pass knowing it was a mistake. We couldnt believe he made that error. We sympathize with the conditions of the venue and the stress of the environment but it still always comes down to player responsibility to check the board.

@MomSkyRB Not sure where i ever said it was my preferred way to end the finals. I actually say how awful that would have been but it would have only been his fault. Asking that top players are held to the same accountability ESPECIALLY at the top tables isnt a crazy ask

@lordgandalftine @riftboundop @TheManLandTCG If you have the ability to hit finals you should have the ability to check your lines before committing. He even opened his turn with an "i think got this" which would lead me to believe it was confidence and hastiness that led to that point not just mental fatigue.

@lordgandalftine @riftboundop @TheManLandTCG Im not unsympathetic to the effort to get there. As someone who has competed in card games in a similar environment for a decade I get that mistakes happen. I've made to many to count. The difference is both me and my opponents are held to our misplays.

He rushed and played poorly. You shouldn't be able to call take backs when you learn you just misplayed and lost
