Like essentially what we’re suggesting is that players like JP and Ekitike would win it OVER the likes of R9 and Henry. As good as they are now, there are levels to this
Idk if I agree with this. I would concede that the average player has gotten better athletically but I think when we’re talking about players who are borderline elite winning balon dors in the previous eras, I think it’s a bit far fetched.
I think the only players capable of winning balon dors back then are the ones that are capable of it today and vice versa. Of course there can be exceptions but my point is I think players at the very pinnacle of the game can transcend eras with relative ease
Maybe it’s naive of me but majority of the dumb tweets I see I refuse to believe there’s people among us that genuinely think like that. It’s easier for me to assume that there’s another reason behind it rather than people genuinely holding that opinion.
For 90% of the controversial tweets on this app, I have the mindset that the person behind it is either a) rage baiting or b) being disingenuous to what they actually believe for whatever reason. I very rarely believe people are being serious and this applies to a lot of topics
I hope it happens as soon as possible tbh so we can grab their players. Even in January we could potentially lure some of them away if they know the seasons done for. Anderson would be the dream. I’d bin Scott asap for him
@L68413lawr___@Criss_Crossv2 I just don’t see Madrid going for him. Not that he’d reject that. I feel like them going in for Enzo would be more likely imo

🚨 BREAKING: Manchester City are expected to face a HUGE points deduction that would guarantee relegation to the Championship, following guilty verdicts on the vast majority of their 115 financial charges.
A further points deduction next season could keep City in the Championship for at least TWO seasons.
Relegation to League Two is considered unlikely.
