Great weekend for ACAD golf teams! The boys finished T-9 in a very strong field. G. Barkley finished T-13, John Manuel Newland T-29, JD Williams T-49. Also congratulations to W. Dorris and W. Beckum playing in their first 36 hole tournament and playing well. @SpartanAthletic

Great weekend for ACAD golf teams! Girls played well with a T-13 finish for E. Niolon and a 3rd place finish for K. DeLoach while M. Conner and C. McLanahan continue to have strong seasons. @SpartanAthletic

Meredith Bennett of the University of Montevallo women’s golf team fired a final round 72 at the Emerald Coast Classic in Sandestin FL.
Montevallo finished 2nd amongst 17 teams in the 3 day, 54 hole event.
Great to see all the Bennett’s and watch Meredith play!

Great results from the Peggy Kirk Bell Tour at Cobb”s Glenn in Anderson, SC. Emmeline Niolon (‘25) finished 2nd place in the Futures division firing an 85.  Kathryn DeLoach (‘26) finished 2nd place in the Prep division shooting 79.  @SpartanAthletic @OconeeSports @ABHpreps

5th place finish at the Area 2 Private tournament with a season best 319. George Barkley 76, John Manuel Newland 79, Alex Hill 80, JD Williams 84, John Dorris 88, and Mark Tribble 93. Emmeline Niolon finished 6th overall. Maggie and Carter did a great job supporting!

Fun weekend but extremely challenging conditions. I’m really proud of this group for their great attitudes, good golf, and fun times. 12th place finish overall. George Barkley had 3 birdies in a row to finish T16 overall. Alex Hill also played well with a T29. @SpartanAthletic

Not a bad start to the season Spartans! 5th place finish at the NAJG South Georgia Classic. George Barkley led the way with an all Tournament and 4th place overall score of 75, Alex Hill with an 82, John Manuel Newland 91 and JD Williams with a 92. @SpartanAthletic

Congrats to @athens_academy 8th grader Kathryn DeLoach, who had a big day. She birdied the last hole to shoot 73 today and win by one shot at the Peggy Kirk Bell Tour Regional Tournament of Champions at the Arthur Hills course at Palmetto Dunes in Hilton Head.
