@EconomistsKenya we travel miles to Mombasa for #Ance2026. Fully paid-up ESK members. Employers have approved the payments and they are in process, proof of processing has always been accepted. Yet we are turned away at the door. Is this how we treat members? Disappointing.
You have 2,400 words of a 2,000 word essay and every single one of them is essential. You've read it four times looking for something to cut. There's nothing.
There's always something. It's usually the paragraph you wrote first.
A tiny habit that quietly saves grades. Before you answer anything, underline exactly what the question is asking for. So much lost credit is not from being wrong, it is from carefully answering a slightly different question than the one on the page.
@niamyles Having everything set, paid for, and ready before day one is the best feeling. You gave yourself a calm start instead of a scramble, which future you will be so grateful for. Go enjoy this last easy week, you are ready for the one after it.
@OneeSweetDayy_ Passing the entrance test for your LPN classes is the door officially opening, congratulations. That test was the gatekeeper and you cleared it, so now the real work of learning the good stuff begins. You are properly on your way to those letters after your name.
A quick reminder for anyone deep in deadlines. Your brain does a huge amount of the work while you sleep. A full all nighter often costs you more in focus the next day than the extra hours ever gave you. Protect a few hours of sleep, even in crunch week.
@boutcashcayla Sending you good luck for the morning. The fact that you are here the night before means you have already put the work in, so trust it. Get some real rest, eat something first, and walk in knowing you are more ready than the nerves are telling you.
@ujinuiboo Getting your research accepted is such a huge moment, congratulations. All those revisions and late reading sessions just turned into something official with your name on it. Take a beat to actually feel this one, you earned it.
Cut ten percent from any finished draft and it gets better. Every time.
Start with sentences beginning "It is important to note that" and anything using three words where one works. Nothing of substance goes. Bookmark this.
@badgirlReeeeeee An 86 on your exit exam is a strong pass and a great sign heading into state boards. You clearly know your material, so trust that same preparation now. Rest up, keep your review steady, and go show the boards what you already proved today. Congratulations.
@madeprodigy_ Passing the dissertation proposal is one of the biggest gates in the whole PhD, congratulations. You just turned years of reading and thinking into an approved plan that is yours to run with. The hardest part of starting is officially behind you.
If a big assignment feels impossible to start, shrink the first step until it is almost silly. Open the document and write one messy sentence. Momentum is much easier to steer than a blank page, and starting badly still beats not starting at all.
