Cultural anthropologists have studied ritual—religious or not—to catalyze group identity & foster cooperation. Our Ritual for the Nonreligious project, funded by @templeton_fdn, builds on research of spiritual but not religious people, clarifying the spiritual landscape.
Funny thing about Aspartame possibly being a Type-2B carcinogen (ie. possible carcinogenic) is that ethanol and acetaldehyde (a metabolic product of ethanol in the human body) are both Type-1 carcinogens (definitely carcinogenic).
