GP friends. I think ALL surgeries should have a simple policy on supporting access for #ActuallyAutistic adults and children (& familes) to their doctor. Anyone want to work on it? (I'll help!)

Ah, the hallowed halls of X. I've only popped on here to mention BMA council elections
I'm standing & my priorities are
⭐️Gender Pay gap
⭐️representing the South West &
⭐️neurodivergent doctors in the BMA
aiming to improve our working lives
@dr_musgrave@TheBMA@kimleadbeater@wesstreeting@RachelReevesMP@lisanandy I’d expect lots of organisations representing drs would input; I simply pointed out that the BMA has asked members their views on a massive scale.
I don’t think anyone would expect the BMA to have the “final say” 🤷🏼♀️
@dr_musgrave@TheBMA@kimleadbeater@wesstreeting@RachelReevesMP@lisanandy It’s bizarre to suggest that @TheBMA which did the biggest survey of the profession in the UK on exactly this issue isn’t representing the views of the profession, when the policy is based on the survey. It’s actually a really good example of evidence based policy making.
@Jennife10651535 Looked like a proper organised display, with a massive bonfire too. Just amazed it was so close to the road, given the Taunton disaster
@BMA_GP I’m being asked - do we count as public sector?
Yes we do:
NHS GP Practices are defined as “Public Sector Authorities” in Schedule 1, Part III, Paras 44 & 45 of the 2000 Freedom of Information Act

@Jennife10651535@DrSdeG Could you chat to someone from the bank? NatWest and hsbc have been really helpful with stuff like this in the past. (Probably the others are too, I’ve just had experience with those ones)
