Mrs. Florence Pannel, born in 1868, speaks about life for women in Victorian times. At the time of the interview, she was 108. Fascinating!
(Charles Darwin would die *14 years* after she was born!)
I have a 13 year old doing end of year exams at home this week. When I look at how his history curriculum basically hasn’t changed since I was at school in the 80’s it’s no wonder this country is so clueless about its past.
Thanks @Lucy_Worsley 😍 We’ve loads of brilliant reviews and comments! Yes, people who missed it can catch up here:

THE VERDICT IS IN. My mum said that our ROYAL PHOTO ALBUM programme was 'more interesting than she expected.' Phew! Thanks ever so much to my friends behind the camera at @Academy7net@HRP_palaces and @BBCFOUR for making it, & you can watch again here: https://t.co/iBnr6cEXXY
NEW SHOW on @BBCFour tonight - and long may those who love @BBCFour continue to read those words! This time, it's a study of the thing that's turned out to be the monarchy's superpower over the last two centuries: photography.
