The Academy Swim Team just missed out on qualifying for the B final of this year's Cotswold League at the weekend after a determined Round 4 performance. They will now contest the C Final on the 26th April at Easton Leisure Centre.

Last session at this year's Yeovil Spring Fling, team still going strong despite some 1 less hour's sleep than normal fatigue setting in. The Academy Swim Team are still delivering some great swim's along with some good duck throwing during the last interval.

Emily Druce dropped in for a 50M race, this time in the Freestyle and once more smashed out a great new PB. Lastly Lauren Glanville also entered just the one event, taking home the Gold for the demanding 200M Fly. Well done to all 4 for some great swimming. [3/3]
Over the weekend 4 of our swimmers were in action at Hutton Moor in Weston, taking part in the Bristol Penguin & Keynsham Spring Open. Club Captain and Under 18 swimmer Amelie Rowley-Wall was back in action for the first time since November and had a good weekend competing [1/3]
taking home the Silver medal for the 50 Back and the Bronze for the 50 Fly. Her younger sister Evie also had a great weekend, taking an excellent combined 12.94 seconds off her 50M Breaststroke, 100M Fly and 200M Medley times. For the second weekend in a row [2/3]
Quantocks for her D of E Award. Lastly Harry continued his quest for South West Regional qualification and racked up another 3 consideration times in the 100 Fly, 200 Fly and 100 Free. Well done to all 3 for some brilliant swimming. [4/4]
Over this coming month some of our swimmers are taking on various meets, targeting races not swam for a while, or looking for some PB’s and chasing some Regional Consideration Time’s. This weekend Lauren Hern, Emily Druce and Harry Glanville were competing at [1/4]
dashing back to Burnham to compete in our Cotswold League Gala on Saturday afternoon (thanks to Mum and Dad for getting her there in time to compete). Emily took a mammoth 18 seconds off her 50 Breaststroke PB on Sunday after spending Saturday navigating her way around the [3/4]
Summing it up, Head Coach Nic Hazelton said "I am very proud of all the swimmers who qualified and they should all be proud too at how well they have swam against some big teams in one of the toughest county championships to qualify for in the country." [2/2]

Having gone out fast in the first 50, he held on brilliantly to overcome the challengers around him down the last 25 meters, to win a second Gold medal by the finest of margins. [11/11]
It was another successful final session at this year’s Somerset County Champs. The challenging 200M Breaststroke was first up for AST’s Girls and Under 13 Lorelai Jimmieson was in outstanding form, powering away from the others in her heat to decimate her PB by 19 seconds [1/11]
broke PB’s in every event. The 2025 County Championships were then rounded off in fine style, and it’s a big congratulations to our Under 11 swimmer, and now double County Champion Madox Winder, who won an incredibly close final by 13 hundredths of a second. [10/11]
