A Winter Weather Advisory was issued for the Acadia region starting 6 :00 p.m. today. We are expecting dangerously low wind chills, with temperatures feeling as low as 30 below. They also issued a hazardous weather outlook, forecasting heavy snow starting Saturday afternoon.
From January 22–30, 2026, Acadia National Park will conduct pile burning operations to safely dispose of woody debris from maintenance and fuels reduction projects. This method is a cost-effective way to manage vegetation and reduce wildfire risk.
On December 1, the Park Loop Road (including Cadillac Mountain) is closed to vehicles, with the exception of Jordan Pond Road in Seal Harbor offering access to Jordan Pond, and between Schooner Head Road and Otter Cliff Road in Bar Harbor. Learn more at https://t.co/2a7YD7KEQI
Starting November 17, Acadia National Park will close a section of Park Loop Road to all uses to accommodate critical culvert replacements between Cadillac Summit Road and the start of the one-way section of the Park Loop Road.
