Let’s pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for waking me up this Friday morning. Thank You for bringing me through the week and giving me another day of life and opportunity.
Lord, as I step into today, I ask You for peace in my mind, strength in my heart, and clarity in my thoughts. Help me finish this week strong and not let any stress or distractions get the best of me.
Please guide my steps, order my decisions, and align everything in my life according to Your will. Give me the wisdom to make the right choices and the patience to trust the process.
Remove any worry, doubt, or fear, and replace them with confidence, calmness, and faith. Let today be smooth, productive, and filled with blessings.
Cover me, my loved ones, and everyone reading this prayer from any harm and evil.
We love You, God. In Jesus’ mighty name I pray. Amen.
When I was younger, I had a friend who never had much.
His school uniform was always faded. His sandals were worn out. Sometimes he came to school without lunch, but he never complained.
One day, my father gave me money for food. As I was about to buy something during break, I noticed him sitting alone under a tree, pretending to be busy with his notebook.
I asked if he had eaten.
He smiled and said, "I'm not hungry."
But his eyes told a different story.
I bought two plates of food and handed one to him. He stared at it for a few seconds before quietly saying, "Thank you."
To me, it was just food.
To him, it was everything that day.
Years passed. Life happened. We lost contact.
Then one afternoon, I got a call from an unknown number.
A calm voice asked, "Do you remember the boy you shared lunch with in secondary school?"
I laughed and said, "Of course."
The voice replied, "I've been looking for you for years."
It was him.
He told me he never forgot that day.
Not because of the food.
But because it was the first time someone noticed he was struggling without making him feel ashamed.
Today, he's successful. Far more successful than I am.
Before ending the call, he said something I'll never forget:
"People think the biggest gifts are money, houses, or cars. They're wrong. The biggest gift is making someone feel seen when the whole world is looking away."
Friendship isn't always about who spends the most money on you.
Sometimes it's about the person who notices you're fighting a battle you never talked about.
And those are the friends that stay in your heart forever.
