Myself and @Kaaaayylo have been working on this since Dec 29, 2022, and since then have had 40 commits, and have spent nearly 50ish hours on this with over 7k lines of code.
The biggest project I've worked on yet.
I'm doing a giveaway for 25 CUFFBUST keys! To celebrate the game releasing next week, anyone who follows me, likes, and reposts this post in the next 48 hours will be entered in a drawing. 5 winners, and each winner gets 5 Steam keys to play the game with their friends!
You can now actually land on the planets! Right now I only have one planet done, as time goes on I will make it so you can visit all planets in the game. I next plan on adding civilians on the planet that you will be able to interact with. This is all with the @godotengine
I recently started to make my first ever game, and in Godot. The game I'm trying to make is a solo space exploration game. This is a video of what I have so far for progress. I plan on sharing updates as I go on in development. As time goes on I plan on asking for feedback.
@JaanusJaggo How did you manage to do the procedurally generated world? Im trying to use it as an experiment, but I cannot find anything works with a 2d platformer styled game.
@JaanusJaggo Okay, thanks. Are there any articles/videos that helped you while developing? Or what are ways you’d recommend for people to get into it with game development.
@JaanusJaggo, I am curious, I was looking at Blastronaut on Steam and noticed it had an online Co-Op, and I am curious how you managed to do that with Godot.
@JaanusJaggo Dang, props to you. I’m new to networking and I’m curious, what would you say the most challenging part of doing that, making the multiplayer(introducing Godot Steam/setting it up, working with GodotSteam, packing data, and networking logic) would be, or still is.
