criminalisation enables state control and surveillance, widespread impunity and varied impacts across identities. Donor funding changes have eroded services and trust, driving communities underground and worsening stigma and access to care @kingndondo

Criminalisation prevents trans & intersex people from obtaining IDs and thus limits access to employment, housing & healthcare. Providers & justice systems frequently discriminate & rarely prosecute abuses against gender-diverse people, leaving victims without recourse.
