It is true that many Ugandans are against homosexuality. The thieving politicians quickly realised that they can use it as a shield to hide their theft. The strategy then was aggressively support the passing of the AHA law so that any time they’re called out they can hoodwink their masters and the public that they were being persecuted because of the law. It is also the reason they would never respond to the corruption allegations but instead cry persecution. And since many of the revelations came from civil society, they took advantage of government’s own paranoia and blackmailed it into thinking foreigners/homosexuals were directly funding campaigns to fight leaders close to the president and destabilise the country. These are old basic techniques in mass Manipulation and Propaganda books, but they will always find some believers. However, as with anything overused, the homosexuality/imperialist card lost its teeth in Uganda. Anyone can see through the torn veil.
The inadvertent bad side of this propaganda card is that, when real Imperialism comes out to bite, we are like ‘the boy who cried wolf’. It eats us as everyone thinks it’s the usual politicking. and running from accountability.

The continued house arrest of Barbie Kyagulanyi is an attack on motherhood, dignity, and freedom. Her husband is forced to hide for his life, while their children witness fear, violence, and trauma of forceful separation no child should endure. This cruelty goes beyond politics, it scars families and wounds the soul of our nation.
Such a cowardly act must be condemned.
“… one time, we heard that mummy had a big budget (UPE) yet we had eaten posho at home… we complained to her. She sat us down and told us: ‘baana bange, ebitali bibyo tebiba bibyo’ (my children, what’s not yours is not yours)”
(Prof. Kyamanywa Patrick’s speech, at the burial of his mother, Hon. Namirembe Bitamazire Geraldine)
Ugandan soldiers beat up young men and force them to remove the Ugandan flag from a pole. The flag has become a symbol of support for Bobi Wine, and of resistance to President Museveni.
His erratic son Muhoozi Kainerugaba is the country’s military chief
People of Kira Municipality gave me 15 years in Parliament. Maybe they see this is time for me to step away. I can't thank you any better for the opportunity you gave me to serve this country. To all the people who did extraordinarily, I am forever grateful for your support.
Since 2020, Mama Rose Nayiga has made it a practice every Easter and Christmas holiday to bring items to the @NUP_Ug Headquarters to be shared with political prisoners and at times the foot-soldiers who do a great job. Today is no exception. She delivered these items, including chickens, rice, sugar, soap, etc, which we have dispatched to Luzira Upper Prison, Luzira Women's Prison, as well as Kitalya Prison for our comrades in detention. Mama Rose is a testament that people can contribute in different ways to the struggle for a better country. Everyone's contribution is a brick that will eventually build a New Uganda.

Today, I turn another chapter in the book of my life.
I’m deeply grateful to God, my family, friends, and everyone who has supported me along the way. Thank you for the love and encouragement.
My only wish as I step into this new age is a new Uganda
From @Makerere to the skies ✈️! @Boeing and @UG_Airlines are working together to provide a pathway for students flying into the aviation sector. U.S. Embassy Uganda was happy to join these aviation leaders to speak about 🇺🇸 innovation, @America250, and educational and exchange opportunities for career paths in aviation.
On this day, December 10, 1980, 45 years ago, Ugandans were voting. It was the first direct presidential election in Uganda’s post-Independence history (since 1962). Below were the official results, whose disputation (alleged rigging) took candidate Yoweri Museveni and others to the bush. Over 90% of the 45 million Ugandans living today were not yet born when this election happened. Perhaps only one of the presidential candidates in this 1980 election is still alive, and he is a presidential candidate today.
