It is absurd for people to die from heat when we have air conditioning
Cooler cities like white roofs and green spaces are also cheap and effective solutions
Don't make smart policies into a culture war

A few days shy of the United States' 250th anniversary, three women on @SCOTUSblog decided that it is wrong for "women with penises" to not play sports with women. Until 15 minutes ago, the 117 billion people who had ever lived on earth knew that distinction but these three Justices rejected the most fundamental biological reality that defines our personhood. Good luck.
NASA CONFIRMS THE SUN IS THE DRIVER OF TEMPERATURE ON EARTH
“The thermosphere always cools off during Solar Minimum–and it warms up again during Solar Maximum,” explains Martin Mlynczak of NASA’s Langley Research Center. “It’s one of the most important ways the solar cycle affects our planet.”
Mlynczak and colleagues recently introduced the “Thermosphere Climate Index” (TCI)–a number expressed in Watts that tells how much heat nitrogen oxide (NO) molecules in the thermosphere are dumping into space. During Solar Maximum, TCI is high (“Hot”); during Solar Minimum, it is low (“Cold”).
In 2006, Al Gore released An Inconvenient Truth, a film that defined modern climate alarm.
He warned Greenland and Antarctica's ice would melt, driving seas high enough to put major cities underwater, saying that entire coastlines would have to be redrawn.
Eighteen years later though, none of it has happened, not even close.
Meanwhile, Gore has gotten very rich. While ordinary people were told to feel guilty and cut back, he built a fortune. He became the first climate billionaire. His wealth came from green investment funds such as board seats and advisory roles, 200k plus speaking fees and carbon credit trading.
Al Gore didn't save the planet, he monetized fear.
While the media focuses on Europe’s heatwave:
Remember, cold kills far more Europeans than heat
Extreme heat is the smallest temperature-related killer

PS. Both cold and heat can be deadly. Make sure you ved ones with adequate heating in winter and cooling and liquids in summer

Hi Colonel Sanders. 👋
Meteorologist here! ⛈️
It’s summertime; it’s supposed to be hot. You’re 84 years old going on 85; you ought to know that better than most.
Since the start of the 20th century, there has been no increase in heatwaves in the United States. According to a new paper published in the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Climatology, Christy (2026),
🗨️ “𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘥𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵-𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘺 𝘛𝘔𝘢𝘹 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘪𝘯 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘵 𝘰𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 1899, 𝘥𝘶𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘥𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 1925–1954.”

Also, 38 (76% of) U.S. states set their “all-time” high temperature records prior to 1955.
In Europe, the situation is different, but trends in extreme heat over the last century are not globally homogenous. In many regions, there isn’t enough data pre-1950 to conclude anything robust over centennial scales.
Stay inside, chug some water, and quit complaining. Summers have always been hot. They always will be. Some have more heatwaves than others. Get a grip.
Evidently you struggle with both reading and graph comprehension.
So, I’ll lay it down it again. 💅
Over the last century, there has been no increase in heatwaves in the United Stares. My findings have been confirmed in a new paper published in the Journal of Theoretical and Applied Climatology, Christy (2026).

These trends are consistent across most of North America too.
In eastern Australia, where fairly reliable century-long records exist, heatwaves were more common and severe prior to the 1910s.

Most of Africa, Asia, and South America don’t have an abundance of data prior to 1950, so a fair long-term comparison is impossible, though there have been decreases in Southern Africa (Meque et al., 2022).

Now, if you think it’s entirely “CO₂ and humans,” do us all a favor and net zero yourself so that you quit contributing to the problem. You’re not special or better than anyone else.
Hot Weather in Europe has NOTHING to do with CO2 or Climate Change, it"s all HOT AIR from the Sahara Desert:
"Hot Saharan air has been advected—that is, horizontally transported—northward into western Europe due to anticyclonic (clockwise) airflow, and as that air mass moves north, it is compressed adiabatically beneath the ridge where air is sinking.
This process is natural and has nothing whatsoever to do with climate change or greenhouse gas emissions."

MASSIVE SCANDAL UNFOLDING IN DENVER
You will want to read to the end. Absolutely shocking corruption and coverup.
Denver City Council blocked Denver International Airport from leasing space to Key Lime Air, because the airline worked with ICE.
There was just one problem…
It violates FAA rules.
So what did they do?
City attorney Miko Brown allegedly urged the airport to fabricate an investigation into the airline’s safety record to cover up for illegally discriminating against the airline for political reasons.
When word got out, Brown and Mayor Mike Johnston flat out denied it.
However CBS just obtained an internal airport memo appearing to reveal the entire thing was true.
City officials conspired to discriminate against a private company for political reasons then lied about it to cover it up‼️
The @TheJusticeDept should investigate. @AAGDhillon
“Extreme weather worsened… enough of your contrarian BS”
Data says otherwise on hurricanes/tropical cyclones: No long-term increase in US landfall frequency or intensity (NOAA records back to 1850s). Normalized damages (adjusted for population/wealth) show no upward trend since 1900 (Pielke Jr. et al.)
Reporting & coastal development exploded - doesn’t mean storms did.
Reputable scientists (incl. NOAA/GFDL, Judith Curry) confirm: natural variability dominates observed trends. Focus on resilient building & adaptation works better than panic.
Data over feelings.
@BjornLomborg This is complete nonsense. The planet got hotter just as predicted from fossil fuels. Extreme weather worsened. People lost insurance. Refugee flows increased from drought. Enough of your contrarian BS that is anti science.
The depressing 20-year legacy of An Inconvenient Truth
20 years ago, An Inconvenient Truth put climate change at the center of global debate, shaping politics, influencing leaders, and inspiring a generation of activists.
Two decades later, we can assess not just its impact, but its accuracy. Many of the film’s most alarming predictions did not materialize, while many of the policies it inspired have proven costly and ineffective.

Guardian: "heat kills more people in Europe than almost any other issue you worry about"
But that's because the Guardian doesn't tell you about the things to really worry about, like cold death
https://t.co/3z0fO6ubyR
Why does no one care?
In Africa, Arab Muslims are enslaving black African Christians.
The media, progressives, Palestinian protesters, the UN, and even the Pope remain silent.
In 1995, 77.1% of global primary energy was provided by fossil fuels.
As of 2024 (the latest data I could find), 76.4% still comes from fossil fuels.
That's a whopping *sarc* 0.7 percentage point drop in 30 years.
Governments have spent TRILLIONS of taxpayer dollars on “green” energy projects, and while growth in renewables has been enormous (particularly solar), it has barely made a dent in the global energy mix (note, these figures are based on the substitution method for fair cross-comparison, so it slightly lowers fossil fuels) because coal, oil, and natural gas consumption continue to increase year after year.
If eco nuts like you actually wanted to “decarbonize” the economy, then a deregulation of and transition to nuclear fission would achieve that far faster.
