@MadridXtra Real victims of gender-based violence deserve to have the term treated with the seriousness it warrants, not used as a catch-all for irresponsible public officials.
@Citi973 Diplomatic relations are important, but they should never come at the expense of justice and the dignity of our citizens. This decision sends a clear message: Ghana will stand up for its people and expects their safety and rights to be respected everywhere.

Accountability is important, and where authorities have failed in planning, enforcement, or allowed illegal construction on waterways, they should be held responsible.
But letโs not pretend the assemblies are the only ones to blame. As citizens, many of us dump rubbish into drains whenever it rains, build or support developments in waterways, and then insult and resist authorities whenever they try to demolish illegal structures.
Flooding in Accra is the result of both institutional failures and irresponsible public behaviour. We cannot demand accountability from government while refusing to take responsibility for our own actions.
If we truly want to prevent future tragedies, accountability must apply to everyone not just the authorities. We need to change at people.
@samkelemaseko Why would a president meet with such individuals? It raises serious questions and gives the impression that he is protecting those responsible rather than holding them accountable.
@DennisMiracles The same people who supervised eight years of abandoned drainage projects and wasted billions now want to lecture Ghanaians about flooding. The audacity is remarkable๐๐ฝ๐๐ฝ
@JDMahama Rainfall may be unprecedented, but flooding isnโt. The real test is whether laws against building on waterways are enforced consistently, regardless of who is affected.
