A lot of men won’t admit this out loud: they’re tired of being treated like the emotional container and the emotional problem. Always responsible, never supported. Strong enough to hold everything, yet blamed for anything that cracks.
They aren't going to do this because at least half the manosphere prefers to opt out of society and talk about how bad women are, rather than accept we've all been psyopped and advocate for healthy behavior & reconciliation between the sexes.
I've been in this community for over a decade and it's obvious that most influencers actually love the decline. Indeed they platform it and profit from it.
Like feminists they'd prefer it to be men vs women rather than good men & women vs bad men & women.
They are a bunch of real-life crybabies and cowards who like to hear themselves talk, not men of authority or action. In fact they will attack and mock you if you try to do anything constructive or take any risks.
This is not only because they are spiritually degraded individuals, but because they don't actually understand what it means to be a man. They don't understand a man isn't just some guy who goes to the gym, gets laid, or wins debates - for him to fully embodied, he must exist for more than self-preservation. He must value and serve something greater than himself and his own gratification.
Women and men are at odds today for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is that it is impossible for women to truly respect a man who lacks a heroic soul. And very few men have a developed one today.
"Red pilled" men might understand they shouldn't live for a woman, but what they miss is living solely for themselves is just as much of a trap. An actualized man lives for truth - wherever that takes him - even if it takes him to his death. It is in this willingness to face the abyss that a man's real confidence comes from, and his power over a woman derives. She submits, because he already has.
The more a guy resents women and obsesses over female nature, the more you know he lacks this deeper understanding.
The heroic man doesn't look to women for approval or try to convince them of anything. He just does what he knows he must.
The women follow.
Jake Schmitt, a Utah hunting guide, set out into the Uintah Mountains on July 20 to scout for mule deer.
But after his UTV rolled up to 20 times down a steep incline, he was left with devastating injuries: broken leg, ankles, ribs, a dislocated shoulder, and no gear except his dog, Buddy.
Before the crash, Schmitt had even stopped to free an elk calf from a trap, but minutes later, his side-by-side flipped, leaving him crushed and stranded.
With no lights, no phone, no food, and miles of rugged terrain between him and safety, Schmitt had only duct tape and scraps from the wreck to splint his leg.
Then came the crawl.
For 11 excruciating hours through darkness, creeks, and rocky mountain trails, Buddy never left his side.
When Schmitt passed out, the German shorthaired pointer nudged him awake. When he needed light, Buddy’s LED collar gave him a faint glow to follow.
When crossing creeks, Buddy let him rest his shattered leg across his back. By sunrise, Schmitt had dragged himself five miles out of the mountains.
He made it to town and the hospital, where doctors put a rod and screws in his leg and over 100 staples to close his wounds.
Now recovering, Schmitt credits Buddy with saving his life: “Everyone wants to give up when it’s excruciating, but he’d come over and make me feel good enough to get right back up.”
"You just have to be especially intentional about standing apart from the pack, realizing that in the era in which good things happen by default has passed"
There are little experiences that people share with you, whether in an intimate group setting or 1 on 1 that bring a whole new light to your awareness of another's psyche. Their worldview. Most of the time we miss this, but when you see it for what it is. It hits you. Glorious.
Controversial take:
While I agree, and try to make things beautiful (can see my track record), it’s hard to believe how many people won’t pay more for beauty.
Renting or buying. So many people are extremely attuned to comps and square footage—quantity over quality. Because yes, beauty and quality costs more.
It’s at LEAST a 50% cultural problem as it is a builder/developer problem.
If consumers made beauty profitable, I assure you, we’d get more of it.
**actively working to change all of this**
I like the idea of transforming ordinary spaces so that they become full of color and beauty. Look at these gorgeous bathroom concepts. This is art that you can enter into… naked.
I'm a millennial, but I recognize Gen Z has an incredible weight to lift to succeed beyond the expectations and reality of their environment. I intend to give them hope, encouragement, and if possible brotherhood at any opportunity.
I had some conversations recently with young zoomer men under the age of 25 that were insightful, this will be rambling
To contextualize-My 0-10 years were all in the 90s
I remember $1 gas, the dollar menu, and a general spirit of people getting along. The breakdown was decades away still.
The guys I spoke with, their 0-10 was 2000-2010, or even a bit later. They were a mix of white, white hispanic, and mulatto. All citizens born in USA and college educated
Their childhood was seeing $3 gasoline, the failures of GWOT, and having no memory of 9/11
For them, America at war meant failure, lost lives, and wasted $$
They came of age during peak SJW/CRT/ WOKE
Anti white racism was normalized. Boys falling behind girls academically while still being shit on was normalized. Their teachers being largely woman and liberal harridans was normalized
They have no fond memories of Obama, they had vague sense that a black president was supposed to America had moved past racism
Then they watched racism get dialed up 1000%. No one is happy about this, racial animosity makes everything ugly, but it gets pushed.
The white guys get the obvious brunt of it, their "radicalization" is to be expected, but then the straight black guys get called the white men of black people, the hispanics become aware that theyre considered a low income labor class. Everyone thats a heterosexual male is getting flamed somewhere
The young men start to hate this, because why wouldnt they
They didnt vote for Trump the first time, they werent old enough
They did watch all the adults, the liberal, very uncool adults, all lose their collective minds for 4 years
We dont need to recount the era of Woke and its disasters
It all compounds,
Now they are being turned "right wing". They dont care about this label, its funny that adults are upset that they wont buy into the gross shitlibbery ,
their beliefs by their own admission are more grounded in rebellion to the slop that gets forced on them every day
Then Biden came into office, maybe this would be different....
Nope, now they watched the cost of living skyrocket, and everything gets worse. Name something, anything, it gets worse,
These are guys barely out of HS, or college, still in college
They have never known a time when everything wasnt disgustingly expensive, They have never known a time when societal functions, from customer service to institutions, werent all steadily declining
Then they see unchecked immigration, A LOT of it
They are competing with seemingly the whole world for jobs, every job is a flood of applicants. Entry level work is competition with illegals, every job requires a connection, you can apply to 10,20,30 jobs and never get a call back
"just apply for MORE"
Why? This is what it takes now?
H1Bs get brought over for jobs, WTF??!! Theres really NO Americans that can do those jobs
They get told by boomers to work harder. Bootstraps, back in my day, the usual tripe
The kids are correct. Back in their day life was more affordable, they dont want to hear that shit.
In the midst of all of this, they see sclerotic, geriatric class of politicians who seemingly do nothing constructive.
Trump at least is FUNNY. Hes offensive, in the way they like that makes the harridans shriek.
Democrats are the party of women, uglies, and gay men.
The mention the effects of legalized weed, classmates that end up drugged out
sports gambling, its fun and what does it matter, no one has $$ anyways and you if hit a big you can have a fun weekend
Some came form places with fentanyl. Stories of their hometowns where every 4th classmate gets into drugs, overdoses, they are the most hard right by far
There are not set paths, there are no reliable careers, and the only people who seem to have fun and make $$ and arent slaves to the bullshit system are influencers/content creators
Theres no such thing as quiet money, they grew up with social media. Everyone watches everyone, if you want status, you got to show it
And the biggest thing they all harped on, the HOUSING
the fucking housing. Coming out of college and everything is a $1000+ a month
This isnt for apartments, its to rent a room
You want to live in A tier city, you are going to pay for it
So you got roommates, but owning at their age home seems like an impossible dream, how tf do people even do that? You gotta be RICH, theres no other way.
-Ill end it there. The dating market is its own subject.
My impressions
-They are much more grounded than millennials. They feel they got lied to, the adults (especially older adults) fucked everything up, and now its on them to navigate all this and fix it somehow
-They all love to workout. Fitness culture is huge. The gym is the one largely non partisan and sane environment people can go to
-OnlyFans radicalized a lot of them with women and they are more discerning with who they date. Marriage is seen as more aspirational, they saw enough "older" millennials and Gen Xers who are perpetually single to get turned off to it
-They do in fact want to burn things down (metaphorically), and all the old shibboleths of Liberalism and political correctness and Woke they give zero fucks about. None of it means anything to them. They live in its cultural ruins and theres nothing worth redeeming
Overall I was very impressed. They are more politically attuned than we were at that age, less naive, more scrappy, testosterone driven, and they want to FIGHT for something.
The argument for giving technology to any kid under 17, 18 because otherwise, "they will be behind" is so perplexing to me.
First, young people learn technology so easily. Once they have it, they'll master it in no time. They make it like this on purpose.
But also, I think the discord is because some people think of technology as an addition to life. And I see it as an either/or.
That is, I believe if you give a phone to a 12-year-old, or, heaven forbid, a 7- or 8-year old, you are also signing an invisible contract.
It's a contract that says you're fine with them trading any time they spend on their phones with time they would have been spending on reading, inventing stories, playing outside, hanging upside down on the couch, making artwork, talking with their siblings, playing board games, or staring up at the sky.
"Conversations can be uncomfortable because they challenge the inflated self-perception we form in seclusion"
Having regular conversations with others has consequences or builds skillsets. Teaches us our words have consequences & not all think alike. This contributes to character
It is easy to deeply admire people who clearly have spent time building their character. This is for both men and women, because of the time it takes to build character, both moral and mental strength is time consuming and is easy to see by those who have built it themselves.
While technology diminishes character development, likely because of self control and less conscientious awareness built during face to face interactions. To talk to someone face to face and learn about the people around you builds understanding & attentiveness, to us and others.
The day I get married, I'm getting rid of most of my social media unless it's for the bros or for the business. I don't need distractions from building my connection with my wife, especially with all the nonsense on these apps.
Of the four tactical virtues of masculinity, strength, courage, mastery, and honor, mastery is the most neglected.
Strength and courage are celebrated, but mastery is what makes you truly impressive. It is what creates value for yourself, your tribe, your people, and the world.
