@Fab0o0o Correct me if I’m wrong but that was during those Wink Martindale coordinated defenses. Easier to get sacks with Dexter Lawrence, Leonard Williams and Azeez Ojulari beside you but maybe I’m delusional
Two janitors found a girl's body at a Texas high school.
One was Black, one was white. An officer looked at both of them and said: one of you two is going to hang for this.
Then he turned to the Black man and said, you're the one — you're elected.
Clarence Brandley. Conroe, Texas, 1980.
He was convicted and sentenced to death. He came within days of execution twice.
It fell apart slowly: witnesses recanted, saying they had been pressured. Evidence had gone missing. A judge who reviewed the case wrote that in his entire career he had never seen a more shocking disregard for fundamental rights.
He was released in 1990 after nearly a decade on death row.
Texas never paid him. He fought for compensation for years and got a fraction of what the law allowed, late.
He died in 2018.
The officer told him he was elected. He was right — that was exactly how it worked, and the man said it out loud at the start
Clarence Brandley spent nearly a decade on death row because someone had already decided what his fate would be.
How many other cases began the same way? We dug through the record and documented up to 150 in a book. Get yours https://t.co/V6OJtazidd
4 Rules in a relationship
1. Never fight in front of other people.
Protect your bond, not your ego.
2. Never sleep without resolving the problem and hugging it out.
3. Always talk it out, even when it's hard
4. Don't let the bad day make you forget the good ones.
you’re allowed to fall in love during your healing process btw, someone will love the unhealed version of you. you’re worthy of love even when you’re not the best version of yourself.
I’ve realized one of the major reasons our parents found it easy to date was cos social media wasn’t a thing then.. Now, everybody’s “self aware”
Everyone knows the buzzwords, narcissist, red flag, avoidant, love bombing.. we’re all vigilant, looking for the slightest reason to ghost and maintain our peace but the truth is, to have a healthy relationship, you have to come to terms with the fact that everyone’s traumatized, they’ll all come with baggage, nobody’s perfect
Some will come as Avoidants, some will come anxious but what makes them different and worth trying with is if they’re healing and genuinely working on themselves. These are the people you stick around with
A woman asked a famous marriage therapist,
"Who should I prioritize more, my career, my husband, or my children?"
His answer will change your beliefs about marriage....
Somebody remind Sandra Oh that her Nolan isn't actually her husband, and JK Simmons didn't actually kill 2000 people please. I know it's probably just acting but you know better safe than sorry.
