Looking for the good, the nice, the safe, the interesting.

@Gordon_3417 @bluebellrailway Magical and fitting tribute - you looked glorious yesterday!

Very sad to hear of the death of Johnnie Walker, our lovely next-door neighbour when I was 11-17 then he emigrated to USA. I’d cat-sit his 2 cats whenever he & (first) wife went on hols. Such a kind, honourable family man. Happy memories & utmost respect. https://t.co/jIziWLdPP7

@LMSParsonsGreen I attended LMS 1972-1979. I’ve just bought a Tudor Rose necklace from a silversmith, exactly matching school logo. In a delightful symmetry, I bought it in Market Bosworth, 2.5 miles from the battlefield. Silversmith completely unaware of historical significance!

Nice variation on a “Please Do Not Touch” notice. Well played Leicester Guildhall!

Ridiculously excited to have finally found a garden chair that fits me. My feet can touch the grass! Not just my toes, but my whole foot flat on the ground.

Only my fellow lilliputians will truly understand how grateful - and really comfortable - I feel now. #shortandfurious

@StandardBy10 The C….x word is barred in my house. Destroyers of everything they touched.

West Midlands Railways train livery clashes with Great Malvern station. To whom do I complain? Only slightly joking.

[ClaireWickesSaunders @Acercalm]

@holdmch @SouthernRailUK The next bus, due 06.32, turned up exactly on time. Therefore I know that the bus I “missed” departed 6 minutes early (06.04 instead of 06.10) rather than being the previous 05.40 service running 24 late.

[ClaireWickesSaunders @Acercalm]

@SouthernRailUK Bus replacement left the Wivelsfield bus-stop (in Janes Lane) at 06.04, scheduled for 06.10, so I was still walking towards the stop and missed it. Or was that the 05.40 running late?

This was a fabulous night - so privileged to have been there. Truly one of the greatest ever shows, and certainly the greatest ever prequel.

Last night, the West End stage musical phenomenon, Wicked, reached a magical milestone in becoming the 10th longest running West End show in British history.

The rather bonkers architecture of Zaandam in The Netherlands. The “heap of houses” is our hotel!

[ClaireWickesSaunders @Acercalm]

Zaandam railway station doesn’t appear to have a car park, but its multi-storey bike park is a thing of wonder.
It also has the town name on its roof (historical Dutch tradition of having the family or company name in a contrasting colour of roof tiles on one’s home/premises).

@every_station My vote goes to the West Highland Line. Just brings me such joy.

Yesterday in Birmingham, both Regional Railways and Centro branding. Positively vintage!

One of many beautiful old buildings in Stratford-upon-Avon, but this one’s rather special because of who was born and lived here.

[ClaireWickesSaunders @Acercalm]

What a stunningly renovated Art Deco refreshment room on Leamington Spa station. Massive selection of drinks and cakes - all allergies very well catered for.
