Translation: The only way that TV ratings would matter is if AEW was doing better numbers than WWE. They are not, therefore ratings don't matter.

DVR numbers have been released for AEW Collision (including Dynamite) and they make a significant difference on the overall ratings of the show.

Collision Debut on 6/17: 805K to 952,000
Collision 6/24: 595K to 692,000
Collision 7/1: 452K to 550,000

Additionally, we shouldn't overlook viewers who watch via FiteTV or other streaming services. So who really knows what the actual viewership is.

The same logic can be applied to WWE and their weekly shows. I wouldn't be surprised if SmackDown was doing 4 or 5 million a week when you take into account DVR and streaming numbers. People go out on Fridays and Saturdays. So we should expect those DVR numbers to have a bigger impact on the overall ratings.

As I have said before, the Nielsen ratings system is dated and this further proves the discourse online about it is pointless.

@BrianRSolomon I think most people see HOF as purely kayfabe so they only accept top-tier inductees. But that's clearly not how it works, nor should it. Rodz contributions extend far beyond the bounds of kayfabe and that can be difficult to grasp for certain segments of the fanbase.

Looks like DI anticipated Hammer reversing instead of flopping. Neither blameless but Hammer is more at fault.
