A moving man with always meet his luck, and so the journey officially begins on the 25th of April, 2026, as I am officially inaugurated as the NANS Southwest Financial Secretary at the School of Health, Ilesha, Osun State.
Moments like this remind you that life is fragile, time is short and the memories we create may matter more than the things we accumulate.
May God preserve the rest of us, grant the departed eternal rest, and give us the wisdom to live lives that truly count. 🕊️❤️
Today, while going to bury a family friend, reality hit me differently.
For a moment, I found myself asking: what is the true essence of life if we simply live, hustle, make money and one day leave it all behind?

CELEBRATING A WORTHY AMBASSADOR OF OAUSTECH ALUMNI AND NIGERIAN STUDENTS:
Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BabTee)
It is with immense pride and profound satisfaction that I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BabTee) on his emergence as the President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), the foremost umbrella body representing the interests and aspirations of Nigerian students.
As the Students Affairs Officer of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (OAUSTECH), and having spent a significant part of my career working closely with students within the university system, I have come across many student leaders. However, BabTee stands out as a dedicated, courageous, disciplined, and visionary leader whose commitment to students' welfare and national development has remained steadfast over the years.
A proud alumnus of our great institution, where he studied Biochemistry when the institution was known as Ondo State University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (OSUSTECH), BabTee has consistently demonstrated the values of excellence, service, resilience, and purposeful leadership. His journey from the classrooms of our university to the pinnacle of student representation in Nigeria is a proof to hard work, determination, and an unrelenting passion for service.
I am also pleased to confirm that Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez is currently a bona fide postgraduate student of Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology, Okitipupa (OAUSTECH). This further underscores his continued commitment to academic advancement while actively contributing to the development of student leadership and advocacy in Nigeria. His emergence as NANS President is not only a personal achievement but also a source of pride to OAUSTECH, the academic community, and the entire Nigerian student populace. I have no doubt that under his leadership, NANS will experience renewed vigor, purposeful engagement, responsible advocacy, and constructive partnerships aimed at advancing the interests of Nigerian students.
As he assumes this important national responsibility, I urge all stakeholders, student leaders, educational institutions, government agencies, and the general public to extend their support and cooperation to him. Leadership succeeds best when accompanied by goodwill, collaboration, and collective commitment to progress.
Congratulations once again, Comrade Akinteye Babatunde Afeez (BabTee). May your tenure be marked by wisdom, courage, integrity, impactful achievements, and lasting contributions to the growth of Nigerian students and our dear nation.
Signed
T. J. Tawose

I am not arguing o but what deal? Which deal was made? You think APC would not prefer to have their own Governor? Or that a deal needs to be made before Adeleke will beat Amubo. Again, he can decamp or not but na that deal I wan understand
I spent a significant part of today in discussions with the Vice-Chancellor of LAUTECH, during which we reached a mutual understanding that the affected students will file an appeal against the decision, and that the Senate will convene on Monday to review its resolution.
In view of this development, I earnestly appeal to all comrades to sheath their swords and allow the Senate to carry out a proper review and reversal, so as not to further complicate the matter, and to ensure that the affected students are able to resume their academic activities in due course.
Furthermore, I wish to appreciate and commend the Dean of Students Affairs for his proactiveness and fatherly disposition.
Going forward, as I have always maintained, I wish to reiterate that protest must always remain our last resort. The guiding principles of Aluta, consultation, consolidation, and confrontation must be strictly observed. Before we resort to confrontation in any struggle, we must have exhaustively explored and exhausted the first two Cs.
That said, as your President, you can trust that I will never compromise on our collective interest and the welfare of Nigerian students.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
BABTEE
NANS President
