In my spare time the last few weeks, I've been working on porting Star Fox 64 to PSP from the decomp. It's been a lot of work and learning!
It's finally getting somewhere... kind of 😅
This is not N64 emulation, it's a real PSP program!
@Jayplay17@DarkexNarukami@frwololo All seem to work fine, I don't think it's gonna make any difference in terms of compatibility. It seems to be: if your console accepts whatever frequency, everything should work.
@Gragagrogog@frwololo It depends on the console, my 1K can do 423MHz without any issues, while others have said that their 1K can only reach 383. It is a silicon lottery.
@AnxiousTomoko@frwololo From what I've seen in tests, it really depends on your console, with Go being the one that can get hot and drains the batter faster (it has the smallest battery out of all PSPs so it makes sense). I have played many hours of Peace Walker co-op with 30FPS cheat enabled.
@Degronas@aldostools This isn't a new hack, you've always been able to play PS2 games via USB on BC models with OPL (even on OFW via Swap Magic). But OPL doesn't like the PS3 if you haven't preconfigured it, so this is what it does, it gives you a pre-configured OPL for PS3.
⭐️Playing PS2 games via USB on PS3 (BC models ONLY)
Tutorial by Acid Snake:
- Copy "wLE+OPL.iso" to /dev_hdd0/PS2ISO/
- Copy "OPL.VM2" to /dev_hdd0/savedata/vmc/
- If using webmanMOD you must refresh list of games
- Use CFW options to rebuild database

@Wr0zen@psplala1818@Chihir0_@Zer01neDev@notnotzecoxao@The_Zett This should be fixed in latest revision, which also lets you run cIPL installer directly from PRO/ME (where it'll be automatically configured). Let me know if there's any more issues. Hopefully it's stable now.
@Wr0zen@frwololo Yeah well qwik and I were both drunk and playing the "I'm gonna release it first" game. I beat him to the punch, fun times, I miss him a lot. The word leak was used all around because it looked like it and we didn't really care, we actually enjoyed the drama, it was fun.
@Wr0zen@frwololo When we found the PBOOT.PBP trick, pretty much every single usermode exploit became obsolete. We also found a kernel vulnerability that Sony could never properly patch. Basically, it was a "shock value" thing more than anything.
@frwololo@Wr0zen That was a side-effect, but qwik and I had the intention of overwhelming Sony so much they didn't know what to do. Also send them a message, something like "PSP is ours, give up". We hated how they attacked VHBL so much despite it being an anti-piracy homebrew solution.
@Zer01neDev@psplala1818@Chihir0_@Wr0zen@notnotzecoxao Exactly. Traditionally, most soft-bricks can be traced back to wrong CFW configuration or incorrectly configured plugins. Having them in memory stick instead of flash is much more safe.
