Mark Zuckerberg's parents were middle-class educated medical professionals - Dad, a dentist, and mom, a psychiatrist.

As a child, they sent Mark to exclusive private schools and hired private tutors to help nurture his computer programming skills.

He later got enrolled in Harvard University before dropping out to build Facebook with the help of some loan he got from his father.

He didn't drop out of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.

Neither were his parents' petty traders at Ogbete timber market.

Before you choose to follow another man's trajectory, always evaluate your realities and comparative advantage.

You know why some people succeed and others don't? I will tell you.

I went to play table tennis somewhere in Festac a few years ago.

There were over 20 other men there.

Businessmen.

Rich.

The parking lot was bustling with all sorts of luxury cars.

I knew a couple of popular investments that a few of them had.

Hotels.

Big brands.

Guess what similarities most of them had?

They were mostly uneducated.

…some never went to any school at all.

They came to Lagos as teenagers, did apprenticeships, got settled with about 2 million naira, and went on to build big businesses.

They don’t read charts.

They don’t build funnels

They do not run ads.

Just men, with strong will.

Now look at us. We have all the leverage we can imagine.

We are educated, we can build funnels, run ads, and build an audience in any part of the world.

Yet…  

….we are filled with doubts, hold back, and wonder whether it will work?

Why?

Simple.

Because it is not all those things that make someone rich.

It is your bloody will.

You can have all the opportunities in the world, but if you lack the will to get stuff done, you are done for.
