We are a village school in a beautiful rural setting, located on the outskirts of Acomb village, 2 miles from Hexham in the Tyne Valley, Northumberland.
Acomb children have been learning all about the essential skills for life from @Skills_Builder. This is a a big focus in school and we will continue this work in September. We now have this beautiful display to show the famous icons the children chose linked to each of the skills

Last week Class One continued to study Paul Klee's work. This time we had a template to give us a helping hand but we had to try really hard to stay in the lines. We noticed that his painting had much lighter colours so we figured out we needed to add white. #art#ks1#acombfirst
Class One have been super busy learning about remembrance day this week. We made collaged poppies using little pieces of cut up orange, pink and red paper. We decided to string them up so we could hang them on the gate for everyone to see. I think they look fab, well done!
