As many households prepare for December 1, do we like the Elf on the Shelf or not? I often wonder. I know, I personally delight in the antics of the Elf. Any Elf. Some are naughty and some are helpful. While the tradition is there, I feel many are not on board. What say you?
With November hosting Thanksgiving, I stated to think about how grateful I am to be in the position I am in at the moment. Thinking back to a version of myself years ago, I would be rather surprised to know that I was going to be in business helping small businesses grow!

I am a huge fan of the SMART Goals system. It’s a great way to identify your goals so you are more likely to achieve them. Think of these elements: Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-Bound. Write out what you want to accomplish through each goal element!
Give your customers a reason to like your page and follow you. Show them you will be posting often. This will give them a reason to engage with you. The best way to gain the support of your audience is to engage with them. Make and have a plan!

Be your authentic self. It’s a saying I share with many. Try to post on your blog, website, and social media channels or write info in your brochure as yourself. This will give you an authentic look. Use your own words!

Think about it: You send out emails all day. If you have your social icons in your email, people will likely get curious and start to check out your pages and eventually, your website. This is a great way to grow your social media presence. Do you have a great standard signature?
It gets frustrating visiting one of your favorite blogs or Facebook pages and seeing it hasn't been updated. If you have to, you can always write all your content ahead of time and schedule your posts so you don't leave your audience hanging. Do you post on a consistent basis?
As you think of your content calendar - you also want to ensure you are producing the valuable content - not only into your blog but also on your social accounts. Having the best content helps showcase your business and website. Think great imagery and words.

Hashtags are in these days. Using hashtags on Facebook, Twitter, etc. will help bring more people onto your social media accounts and your website - but use them carefully. Don't finish every post with 15 unrelated hashtags. #dontbethatguy
