@SatsRunner Yes, BTC yield from STX that is stacked to make sBTC holders solvent over time if the system were to fail. The exact details are still being implemented, but that is still the plan as far as I'm aware. (I've been less online the last couple months so could be dated as well)

This is balanced by known signers who do stake their reputation in public. It is a tradeoff

@SatsRunner @StackingDao Yes that requirement was removed and there is no longer an sBTC supply cap as a result. Essentially ensuring a secure set of signers is the most important thing for sBTC going forward. There are certainly trust assumptions and tradeoffs that come with this.
