Activate Transit Windsor Essex

Activate Transit Windsor Essex is a grassroots advocacy group working for a more accessible and sustainable transportation system in Windsor and Essex County.

[Activate Transit Windsor Essex @ActivateTransit]

During the week of August 13th through 19th ATWE is running our first “Bus or Bust” campaign.

Good public transit is vital to a strong city, and we are challenging Windsorites to take one transit ride to a spot in the city where they may not normally travel.

[Brent Toderian @BrentToderian]

As our kids go #BackToSchool, never forget that we ARE the traffic that we’re using as an excuse. If they walked, biked or rode transit to school, it would erase a massive number of car trips each day, and our kids would be safer, healthier and better at school.

Spread the word.

Canadians deserve strong, reliable, and accessible public transit!

➡️ That’s why our Liberal government is putting over $2.9 billion on the table to strengthen public transit right across the country.

Real investments that will make life easier for #WindsorEssex residents 🚍

Don't be fooled. There IS enough space on our streets to make them enjoyable for walking, biking, transit & uncomplicated community living. The real "capacity" of our streets is fundamently about our priorities. Are streets just for cars or for everyone?

I don’t hate cars. But we should all hate decisions that create car dependency.

It’s frustrating that those leading Canadas biggest transit projects and systems are often deeply unfamiliar with transit.
